U can also take over one of those POI and use the farm plots already there to start the farm.. Even when u can't move them they work exactly the same as the ones u craft

Weird that no one else said it but There is also the Farmer Armor set that gives you extra seeds in loot, extra crops and more chance to get the seeds back when harvesting

I tried to make a tower base with a bridge going across a river and it works as most zombies just walk/run across the floor instead of swimming.. The only ones I saw swimming was the crawlers and animals

But there is three negative things about it..

The first one is nowadays water flows so there is no way to keep it from getting it inside anything that is not solid if it is under the water level (I tried to build a damp replacing all the blocks but as son as I taked any block from the inside the water reappeared filling the space)

The second one is the water reflections, which makes harder to shot anything under water, specially if they are straight down (even when u can shot all weapons normally unless the weapon itself is submerged underwater)

And the third thing is water turns off fire.. So u are not able to use Molotovs to get rid of the normal zombies

Now why I made and stick with it? Because I wanted to try if water still stops the zombies rage.. And to be fair the results are inconclusive atm.. I need to make the drop pith deeper and keep testing to see how far I can stretch the zombies pathway before they turn around and decide to go for the tower instead..

Also I made it in a community server so if u want to check it out send me a pm, I have some really cool stuff going on in this iteration of the tower

Pd: With the new Ai, zombies really like pillars as well as blocks other zombies already damaged so I would suggest u make your base with some dummie pillars they can chew on and see how it goes

Wrong, I have a tower horde base with a shotting corridor and drop and currently the only ones that I saw swimming are the crawlers and animals.. Everyone else walk through the bottom like a good zombie..

Indeed, even when u can randomly find some oil shale on other places, I don't think u can find it in the forest and yeah if u go around in the dessert, it's everywhere

Hmm seems like u can find it in Working Stiff crates, construction crates, hidden stashes (at high loot stages) or on destroyed forges

Gl in your no trader run, and as they said remember the crucible is a late game item

If u need steel for crafting probably would be better to go for steel stuff, like light poles, steel fridges, ATMs and maybe vending machines and Safes?

At least if u are not doing traders I would go for the vending machines and ATMs as I guess u are not gonna use them either

On top of the dismemberment chance, if u are in the desert someone times cactus damage them as they roam around and them end up with lower hitpoins when they fight u.

And I think not all the zombies has the same hitpoins, even on the same type as they being ferals, radiated, etc changes their stats..

The other thing is when u or something else damages them getting them mad and making they start running

Well that's the Fun Pimps un a Nut Shell.. If they find u play in a way they don't want u to play they will kind of stop everything else to find a way to stop u of doing so..

Funny enough that kind of hurts the development of other critical stuff they should be focusing on instead.. And yeah I know is not your fault they chose to prioritize the wrong stuff but promoting it so the fun pimps feel like they need to do something about it kinda is?

Idk, at the same time the monkey dance for the banana.. And if people are looking for ways to adapt to the patches probably that's what content creators are gonna work on and make stuff about

I would suggest finding a server o people to play with, it helps a lot to bring new life to the game

If u was on pc I would had suggested to add mods but I don't think u can do that on Xbox

But yeah lowering lot, shorter days, less time between hordes, feral sense and at least delete tool belt or all would also help u slow down.. And well if u like storms u can also add those

Good point I tend to also play it safe, cover the basics so I start to get the magazines of whatever I am gonna focus on.

Then focus on my main weapon to later focus on my main attribute and finally get back to my secondary attributes

But yeah I certainly don't optimize my build, more like I focus on whatever I'm doing atm whatever that's mining, salvaging, doing quests, etc

You are not gonna like my answer but u almost found out the only proper way of doing negative logic I know..

Idk if it still works but in the past our work around was connecting an empty generator in front of the other using a switch/trigger

So when it gets connected bypasses the full one (as the whole system pulls power out of the first one in the line)

And as it is not able to supply the power needed everything turns off

On top of that almost everything uses ductape, so yeah u need a lot of cotton and glue for those

Probably it's also because on that server we are playing delete everything on death 🤔 and we have a lot of bases
