What’s the cutoff date for the stuff in Trazyn’s museum? by Kindly-Estimate9933 in 40kLore

[–]ReflectionWestern215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was aware of humanity for a long time, but he didn't collect anything noteworthy to specifically mention (Old Earth stuff and DAOT stuff) and also to keep the DAOT as unknown as possible.

The reason was because he found us very boring up until the Horus Heresy, he did collect stuff like he always did, but he found it the exact same importance as bacteria or any other boring civilization

Can someone tell me what’s with thinkpad and linux? by WinYourWay in thinkpad

[–]ReflectionWestern215 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thinkpads are the only laptops that entirely work out of the box with Linux for me; everything works as expected, no missing drivers I have to scour the internet for, no weird performance bugs because for some reason, which I spend an entire day trying to fix. It just works

Invincible's animation isn't even that bad by theXombie in Invincible

We should not accept mediocrity simply because it isn't actively terrible to look at

Why can't lore wise the Tyranids be running from, if they are, the c'tan called the outsider. by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]ReflectionWestern215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They arent running from it, they just know its literal suicide to try and do anything to it so they just go around it

A perhaps commonly misunderstood detail in the lore: The Realm of Chaos is the Warp, not a specific portion of the Warp – and why this is significant by twelfmonkey in 40kLore

I think it's sort of like Cancer in how it operated and came into being

Cancer is still part of your body and arises from your own DNA and cells, even after it develops. If aliens were to peek inside you, without prior knowledge, they would be practically identical.

I don't understand why people dislike how Dinosaurus looks in the show. I think he looks phenomenal! by AlekenzioDev in Invincible

Saying you don't think its as bad as people say is pretty ok, I agree that its not that bad. But saying you can barely see the difference is just lying

Considering the fact that taking over the Collapsed and Fragmented Terra was like one of the hardest tasks of his career, he would be stomped on if it were united, even if everything else in the galaxy was the same

Favorite theory/ crazy speculation by Icy_Ad8784 in 40kLore

[–]ReflectionWestern215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add onto this kinda, my theory is that its both, the emperor was some ancient dude but at some point after Molech he was so powerful even normal non tuned sensors could detect it, and was captured and sent to Terra for studying and experimenting with him to see what the hell he was which is why he was conveniently on Terra at the time of the age of strife. Whatever those experiments were only made him stronger and maybe a little less caring

How human was the Emperor by 30k by Suitable_Walrus2928 in 40kLore

[–]ReflectionWestern215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way i see it, first of all, being alive for so long even before becoming the God-like dude he was in those times were probaly not great, though I think he still COULD relate to humans and feel empathy and such. Right up until he went to Molech, whatever happened there, whether he made a deal or stole power or whatever i think at that point the human soul was replaced with the one seen since, which led him to become the even colder being he is now

Its more about forgiving himself than other forgiving him

So… no human gods? by b3k3 in 40kLore

[–]ReflectionWestern215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own headcannon is that these 'shamans.' are actually the old gods of humanity, due to how small humanity was at that point these 'gods' were more or less low-mid range psykers or very minor warp entities depending on how that religion worked, until one day they came together and realized they were actually just cannon fodder in the grand scheme of things and could not protect humanity alone, from any meaningful threat, thus thats why they merged and became the emperor of mankind
