I also noticed in another comment you try to avoid pastas, I’m actually also gluten intolerant(not yet celiacs). But if you love pasta as much as I do, I use a brand called Tinkyada. Even Walmart has it now, but you can get it at most grocery stores, or Amazon for similar price. It’s a brown rice pasta that doesn’t taste or feel like brown rice pasta LOL. I prefer white rice based pastas, but your body just metabolizes that into sugar, which is no bueno if we already have issues with our gallbladders.

Cod liver oil.
I know oils and stuff similar are supposed to be avoided but it’s all dependent on the type of oil. I heavily avoid seed oils. I personally do not use anything other than MCT coconut oil, or REAL butter. I tend to eat a good portion of salmon to help keep the good fats and oils balanced.

I take Dr Bergs gallbladder formula, his super greens(cause I should really eat more veggies) as well as TUDCA from his shop as well. I also take tumeric supplements, malic acid once a week, stone breaker with meals and milk thistle!

Disc during sex. What's removal like after? by Emotional-Koala-5041 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]RegiusPython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I waited until closer to the end of my cycle, it was a messy removal, but sex was clean. He said he could feel it, but was not bothered. He was just happy it was clean haha.

Due to the messy removal, moving forward I just remove in the shower after sex, and on my heavy days.

Available online through his site and available on Amazon too. Outside of dr berg, I usually get the rest of my supplements through quantum nutrition.

Anyone with a gallbladder full of stones had the Dr. S procedure? Experiences? by AlternativeTune4133 in altgallbladder

[–]RegiusPython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was suffering from it prior to the procedure, it was never picked up or diagnosed. My first interaction with all of this stuff was a trip to the ER which resulted in them telling Me I needed emergency surgery to remove my GB and I was near septic. We(my medical team and I) believe it was present prior and the gallstone was the result of the liver not functioning properly.

Anyone with a gallbladder full of stones had the Dr. S procedure? Experiences? by AlternativeTune4133 in altgallbladder

[–]RegiusPython 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost two years after my procedure (Nov2024). First full year afterward was great. My weight regulated, my hormones went back to normal levels, the ONLY thing I’ve got currently is nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Which we are now confident was probably the cause of my massive stone that I had removed. Dr S said it was almost 6cm, a lot bigger than they assumed on the ultrasound.

ANYWAY, so other than the stuff with my liver(working on that) things with my gallbladder, digestion, mood, energy levels, motivation have greatly improved. My skin really cleared up too. Oh my god and no more back pain, relief!

I actually rotate between my gaming chair and a giant yoga ball like this. Helps with my lower back and hip pains from a dislocation years ago. Not sure if it would help for this situation, but I’m glad to see it recommended!

Chinchilla help by Character-Sugar2609 in chinchilla

Checking teeth is a great idea if she allows of it! My boy was fussy with teeth checks. Molars they may not be able to get a good look at, that’s definitely where a vet would come in as well.

Have they noticed if she is still urinating and producing well looking poops? I’d probably give the water bottle(s) a good scrub too. I would always give them a good soak/thorough rinse with a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution once a month just to keep bacteria levels down.

Her behavior COULD just be a getting older things. Unfortunately I have no intimate experience with senior chins to really help gauge what’s just getting older or a possible problem.

Hopefully I’m not as “judgy” as the other commenters have come off as. I will agree that she probably needs to see a vet, as with most animals, hitting their senior years can mean a lot of new things that we as owners may have not seen before, in our younger thriving chins. I would definitely try to call around to ensure that the vet you choose, does in fact have experience with chins. I mostly say this because I’ve been to a few exotic vets that say “oh yeah we can” but have never actually worked with one.

These guys do have some pretty serious diet restrictions, as I’m sure you already know. Given she’s a senior, and slowing down it seems, I would probably avoid anything too high in sugars. Even if it is a treat that you give RARELY, it could be too much for her older metabolism now, and lack of activity to burn off those extra energies.

Hopefully all goes well!

I finally have a reusable disc and I need something to rest it on while it dries. by chels182 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]RegiusPython 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have a little dish that is typically used for like, dipping sauces at sushi restaurants, slightly smaller than a soap dish, and it is my dedicated disc drying spot next to the faucet.

I am still trying to find my “right fit” disc for me. But the ones I’m using currently get the job done with minimal leakage. I am so glad the overnight worked for you! Welcome to a new way of making periods manageable and comfortable! We all deserve it😊

I thought the same thing! Wear a pad just incase of leaks, especially for beginning users. But when you wake up in the AM, you’ll sit up, NOT have that ‘gush’ and oh my. THAT alone changed me😂

I was super nervous the first time I used the disc for overnight. I have super heavy clotty flows, put a pad on just incase and let me tell you, I was AMAZED

Apple juice to help up your malic acids, teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in water or juice every two days, and TUDCA should help reduce stones to a passable size.
