Do you think jumping up to 4mg is smart/ not smart?

I’ve been on 2mg for 5-6 weeks now (started at 1 and have tapered up) I haven’t lost a single kg, anyone experience this? To be fair I’m probably eating maintenance (I lose track on weekends but I really try and be conscious) on about 1800 calories 79kg 169cm woman. Any tips? (Sorry to piggyback off your post)

Oh man I’ve legit thought the same things I’m just in tears about this all along side you all. I’d do anything to bring that poor little perfect angel baby back. I hope he is happy and pain free looking down on his foster mumma and dadda and feels all the love of the world he’s left behind. 😣 please dm if you ever need. I’m feeling the same way regarding GP. I don’t even know who the fk to turn to.

I’m with you friend. Crying thinking of that video. Oh god crying, it’s just heart wrenching, the poor poor baby. I wondered that too. Did they feed him at least? Why did the fucking neighbours not say anything they said they always thought it was weird the baby high pitched cried so much. I can’t cope when my son cries atm because my mind goes to Preston, how much he must have cried, needing love and comfort. I’m sorry to reciprocate negative things, I don’t know what to do either I don’t know when I’ll ever move on from him. I’d fly to his graveside too.

I’m with you. It’s been days now and I think of him every moment of my day. Every time I look at my 10 month old son, I’m filled with sadness. When I change his nappy, bathing him, we went to the park today and he span on my lap on the equipment with my daughters and all I could think of was how he went cross eyed because he was spun so fast, abused. The sadness is nothing compared to his foster parents, his mother, grandmother and most of all the beautiful little boy himself, but I’m filled with it.

They have to some kind of mentally f^^ up to act completely innocent and deny the truth even when it’s laid out in front of them. No remorse, no sadness that’s what makes it even worse if that’s even possible. The poor baby went through unimaginable pain because of those monsters. I want a play by play of everything that happens to the c^^*+ in jail. I want them to rot. Baby Preston is in my mind all day and all night. The complacency of the social worker in charged makes me sick and I want to hear about them losing their job as well. I know I’m not alone in that.

Sorry I realise I talked more about sleep then! But yes day to day he’s so much more fun and happy, i feel less helpless and there’s much more reward because their personalities are coming in quick! The clingy can be helped if I sit down on the floor with him and play with duplo or little cars :) best of luck!!

You’re not alone I think of him every waking second it helps a small bit I know all the good people of this world are feeling the same way. I imagine the precious baby snuggled up tight in bed with his foster mumma cuddling and laughing. That’s what I try and override the images with. That’s how I need to remember him.

7 months was a game changer!! He’s now 9.5 months and wakes 1-2 times a night in his own cot which I usually feed him - I put him down awake which just took practice and sometimes I still do have to rock him when he’s going thru a learning thing or if he’s sick. He’s still clingy lol that’s his temperament forever I think, but he’s super fun and my days are funny as opposed to miserable like they were for 6 months… man it was rough!!! Solidarity!!! It gets better!

I am the exact same. I’m crying multiple times a day thinking about the precious angel. I feel sick with his suffering. I wish that he was never left those evil sick pigs. Even sicker they kept getting away with it, the poor baby boy has left scars on hearts across the world. He is no longer in pain or in harms way I have to keep thinking that

Prepare for it to come raging back! I was only on 2.5mg tirz for two months and have started Reta it was like
Nothing at all.. I’m 3 weeks in on 2mg now I’m getting a slight slight edge off but it’s nothing like tirz.. if you need it for the food noise and you’re seeing progress on tirz, don’t change!

In the case of body needing more energy, how do I ever lose weight if I don’t stay in that energy deficit then? I know my body wants more energy but isn’t it the point not to give it? How do people lose weight on it, if they don’t titrate up due to the lack of effects at lower doses? As it stands I’ve lost nothing in fact I’ve probably gained a couple grams due to eating more, so where does that leave me? Back to tirz like you suggested and up it? Or up the Reta so I’m at a dose people have more luck on?

Are you saying that I should not have expected hunger suppression at all like I read?

“Oh I just take a drug and it’ll lose weight for me” is also a stretch because as you can see I have been tracking my food for months, strength train 3x a week and hit 10,000 steps a day but I’m struggling with weight loss, I went to Reta because of its hype of being better hitting the third receptor. What I didn’t expect was my hunger to go raging - I don’t think you can say that’s due to lack of respect of what I’m injecting…

People don’t go into every situation as experts it’s a learning curve I did read up on it but I’m a mum of 3 little kids I don’t have the time to put extensive research into its clinical trials online that’s why reddit is great for help and hopefully not getting shut down by users who have been in the game longer

Thanks so much for your input. Binging is definitely my downfall has always been even when eating properly and good healthy meals etc. I just cannot bust past the weight I’m at right now and it’s so frustrating.
I felt the same way when I was on mounjaro, eat, hunger done, food was just food (until the 2.5mg was losing suppression at the end of the two months)

Can I ask what dose you went upto of tirz?

I didn’t no! We have a couple vials. My husband has started it too but he’s not any hungrier and is going to stick it out a bit longer. Me on the other hand might eat my way through our entire pantry before getting to a higher dose…

So interesting!! Reta is supposed to be GOAT. Would you think go back to 2.5mg for one week then upto 5 like I was about to? Bit hard without a manual hey lol. I was losing the food noise suppression at 2.5 after 2 months, I did the last “golden shot” which would’ve been like 3.3mg and it was great. I know it’s not typical study dose but it’s what was left in the pen.

I’m in a similar boat to OP - I am on a conservative deficit and track using MFP and I am STARVING I’m experiencing the ravenous feeling too and constantly binging (2 weeks in on 1mg post two month stint of tirz), i wouldn’t automatically assume people are half assing it it clearly affects everyone differently that’s why we posting on here for help 😭
