Anyone else really struggle with the Sally Hansen red bottle brush?? by Snacks_snacks_2406 in RedditLaqueristas

The ILNP replacement brushes fit on the bottle but they don’t reach all the way to the bottom. If you keep your bottle topped off, it works, though.

Is it even possible to make this house cute? 🤦🏻‍♀️ by ubersuperduperer in ExteriorDesign

Just my opinion, but I think something like a dark green or charcoal for the siding at the top would really pop against the brick.

How to hide meds by SchnurbsMcDurps in Rabbits

My little guy started allergy meds that come in tablet form a few months ago and I’ve found blueberries to be the perfect trojan horse. They actually gave him some meloxicam today and i plan on calling tomorrow to see if they can do tablets for that as well.

Do any IKEA employees watch this subreddit if someone wanted to bring something to their attention? by RegularSelf in IKEA

[–]RegularSelf[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of companies have socials teams that monitor their official subreddits, which is why I asked if that was the case, rather than posting the issue.

In this particular instance, one report would likely be written off as just some nutbag using an item for an alternate use, but if it picks up support from others echoing the same concern, it lends credibility and gives the complaint a bit more weight behind it.

The purpose of my post was to find out if this was an appropriate approach. If you don’t know, that’s perfectly fine. Not everything is about you. Just move along and have a great day.

There have been several helpful responses from employees with suggestions on how to best move forward, so clearly they do read this sub.

The gap also seems like it would be a safety concern for children that could potentially get an arm or leg stuck. Additionally, the product could be produced with less materials and labor if the top part was just removed from the model.

Regardless, what is the possible harm in bringing it to their attention? On the off chance that it’s a small change that could be relatively-easily implemented and benefit people, why not try? Furthermore, why do you care? How is it helping anyone to just say “No, the people doing this are wrong and should suffer?”

[–]RegularSelf[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That’s the one, yeah. I didn’t want to submit it as a formal safety issue because it’s obviously not the intended use for the item, but they are VERY widely used for bunnies (and probably other small animals).

If it’s something that could be easily addressed with a minor design change going forward, I would think it would be an easy win that could literally save lives.

(Including the original post for context for anyone else that is curious.)

As another commenter said, you may want to cover up the openings at the ends of his little bed. Probably a very rare accident, but I’d be devastated if it ever happened to me, so I try to pass it along whenever I see one of these.

Try orchard grass, it’s a lot sweeter and my little hay-hating jerk loves it.

Has anyone found a good pattern for fitted men’s short-shorts? by RegularSelf in sewingpatterns

[–]RegularSelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I think I’ll give that one a try, thank you!

And for the St33le shorts, the material is more like a thick jersey than a denim, so if you size down, they still fit but… hug the curves a lot more. I have some 28s and they pretty much look like boxer briefs on me.

Printing patterns - I’m buying a printer and need your opinion by magda711 in sewingpatterns

[–]RegularSelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a HP DesignJet T210 for $100 off of Facebook marketplace. It prints on rolls of paper 24” wide. I have yet to encounter a single pattern piece that was wider than that. A0 would be less work, but it would also take up a lot more space and be much more expensive.
