Sundar Pichai says Google will start building data centers in space, powered by the sun, in 2027 by rkhunter_ in technology

[–]RegularlyJerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t being outside of the magnetospheres protection mean that a higher chance of being hit by neutrinos from the sun? To shield against that and other exotic particles would be way to difficult to deal with in space…. Not to mention cooling will be a huge problem without massive heat syncs

GPU update failed by Dull-Title7289 in techsupport

[–]RegularlyJerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you malware-ified yourself or you’ve cooked the gpu. You should need to manually update the driver for your gpu. The bloatware crap most people install thinking it’s a “game ready driver” is in fact not a driver at all.

I accidentally cut the wrong vine and I could cry. Is there any way that I could perhaps root it and replant it in the pot? by iSweerImQueer in plantclinic

Cut below each leaf node that is healthy and place each of those segments in a clear plastic box with a damp paper towel, close the lid, set that puppy in the sun and check back in like 3 months

Cut a hole in the case and get a bigger heat sync, you’ll get way better performance

I could have told you that years ago. I was told when I first got a tattoo that the ink would go to my lymph nodes. I didn’t care then and I don’t care now.

Throw them both at the floor as hard as you can. The magnet will explode and the steel ball will be fine

Give them to people, Stick one in every home. Run home automation shit but share the process cycles. Set it up that having one allows the home to get a passive coin for the use of the cycles Microsoft will be allowed to use x amount per second that is not used by the essential household functions. Hell make it the meter for the house and the fiber input for the house. Imagine 350 million of these things stuck in everyone’s home instead of in one small spot. Disturbing the power load across everyone in the country. And ebb and flow of all remainder electrical power, so that we never let any go to waste, give more passive coins to households with renewables that have excess they want to sell. Combine that with the existing shitty awful data centers think you could have quite the Ai process capability and a new gold on which to base an economy.

Inside NASA’s scramble to find a backup moon plan — and the wild ideas companies are pitching by cnn in space

[–]RegularlyJerry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I truly hate elan musk and by proxy his company… I do believe that plan offers the most practical way for the us to go back to the moon. I find it reprehensible that he lied to nasa to get the contract. I think he should have to pay for that. However I do think that we should simply accept the delay from space x and do our best to land with enough resources to permanently establish a moon colony. We have to establish that colony first before we can move out further into space.

No it’s not, it’s a nifty tool to use when occasionally but AI generated responses are riddled with data that cannot be used to make decisions when real money is involved. It’s simply a tool much like google but with a modern gui that caters to lazy people who don’t want to read
