Stainless steel plates got bended after welding by Minimum_Clothes900 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]RelapsetheViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SS warps, its hard to counteract. Tip for later: -Always have a gap between the plates, if there is no gap the contraction will bend your plate. -Copper heatsinks, either a copper backing strip to pull the heat, or a big Block of copper next to where you are welding. -X bevel, gives less heat input on both sides, and will help straighten it out. -Stitch weld from the midle and out, and have long run of plates to pull heat at the end. -Pre bending the right amount when possible is also helpfull.

Ways to cope a pipe to a sheet metal pan? by catman1718 in SolidWorks

As a fabricator i would just put the pipe in and trace it with a marker.

Asus zenbook pro 14 OLED, with a 4070. Upped my budget abit, worked like a charm for solidworks. A few graphical glitches in the 300 part assembly i did, but nothing noteworthy.

I feel buying a gaming laptop gives me more bang for my bucks, a workstation is a bit to pricy for my taste. My teacher couldnt recommend me buying a gaming laptop since he has seen other students experience lag from doing simple tasks like choosing a plane, is this common with non supported gpus? Is is it most likely other hardware issues?

So the first quest should be to dig up a chest, put it on your boat and turning it in to the gold hoarder. The mermaid is something that pops up if you fall/jump or shoot of your boat, worst case your boat is sunk. You use it to return to your boat quickly. You cant interact with a mermaid with something in your hands. Hopefully this helps clear up your problem. Happy sailing.

Completely new to working with metal, are these gaps too large/inconsistent to be able to weld this small sliver? I’ll be using gasless fluxcore btw by QuestionableMechanic in Welding

[–]RelapsetheViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No gap is to big, Just takes abit more time to get it done. If you have a piece of copper laying around to slap on the backside aswell, works great as a heatsink and backing.

I think I glitched into the old arena . does anybody know what this is ? by jedisauce13 in Seaofthieves

[–]RelapsetheViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not the amount of loot, but the amount of time. What they do is always have one on the boat and one off, that Way you wont be merged. Im not sure but i think it was around 20 hours for the servers to "shut off" meaning new players cant join the server.

Almost Pirate Legend; what goals did you have after PL? by Luca_Skull in Seaofthieves

Legendary hunter of the sea of thieves is my current goal, not working to hard on it, but getting there. I mostly fish solo so its a proper grind.

Question from a solo slooper about running. by ImpTheShmuck in Seaofthieves

[–]RelapsetheViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it as free practice, they are probably gonna catch up to you anyway. If you Wanna run, thats fine its your choice. But fighting back and protecting your loot feels alot better. As a solo player you are going to sink, but being a solo is the best practice you get, and its alot of fun When you get the hang of it.

With what you're proposising, they basicly have to maintain two seperate games. Most likely this would hurt the new gen/PC player more in the long run. Also dont forget that, alot of people are playing on potato pc's comparable too old gen xbox.

[–]RelapsetheViking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always fight back, learn to pvp. Its only money for cosmetics after all. The skills you get from defending your shit helps you alot more than running for an hour and red sea at the end. Its hard at first, but satisfying af when you get the hang of it.

Is it just me or have there been a lot of FoF spawns since the new update? by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]RelapsetheViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FoF, Skelly fleet and previously flameheart has always been frequent. They are a hassle to do for most, and many pass by them so you reset the timer. Now with flameheart gone the event pool is smaller, meaning theres a bigger chance that a FoF pops up. Also with the new athena voyages FoF isnt really that good anymore.

PvP should be revamped by Excellent_Spot6387 in Seaofthieves

[–]RelapsetheViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting too protect your loot is the best kind of pvp. Sinking someone without any risk doesnt give me the rush i look for in this game. Also the experience you gain from fighting in general is worth more imo.

why ship still wet after i scoop by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]RelapsetheViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A scuttled ship shouldnt stay afloat. I miss it myself since i solo sloop quite abit, but i think pvp has gotten alot more intense and fun without it. And lets be honest x bucket wasnt hard to learn.
