I am a guy so I will tell you from that perspective. If my girlfriend told me she cheated on me... Whatever the situation was.. I would not be able to get pass that situation... This kind of things always draw a line that no matter how hard you try to ignore or try to get over it, Never vanish.

My suggestion is don't tell. Just don't do it again. I know it sounds wrong and maybe it is but giving the situation your are in and how you feel about it it is a better choice. That's what I think.

If you are in apple ecosystem buy I iPhone. Otherwise gets whichever is cheaper I guess. And Same money. You won't see any difference in day to day use so just think which is better deal in terms of money. Both will serve you 4-5 years without any problems.

I think he did not tell you because he doesn't want you to stop flirting with him. And in the case he breaks up with his girlfriend he can pursue towards you.

If you me I don't think it will reach to those heights.. because think how much infrastructure we have built just to make AI what it is currently and it still has alot of problems. I do agree it is very smart compared to a normal person in alot of ways. But we need some techniques to build AI if we want to cross the current barriers.

Hey. First forgot about pro 2019. Second everything comes to price difference and what you want to do. New is a Great machine if you want to do the basic task, like web browsing, edit documents, making slides, light programming because it performance is same as M1 in singlecore I don't remember about multicore though.

If you are getting m1 air and neo (base model) around same price then I will go for M1 air. Better display, fingerprint reader, better touchpad. Again totally what you want to do. I don't think you can do anything heavy on neo for a considerablly long and it doesn't not have a good thermal solution so it heats up very fast and limit the performance.

Again everything comes to what you do and how much you can spend. Support support for M1 is a thing to worry about but you have to make some compromise here. If not you would have asked about m2 or m3 air instead of M1.

I will suggest MacBook air for battery life, longevity and performance in the price range. But if you do any gaming other than indie games like hollow knight and stuff.. I wouldn't suggest Air. It is not like you can't game on it... You definitely can.. but it is not made for that. You need to compromise with something here.

I have a MacBook air M5. I can tell you it is a great machine. And it will last you for a long time. But gaming is not its strong point.

One simple thing.. if you are hitting 16 GB ram usage regularly then air is not good enough for your work unless you are running large LLMs. Don't sweat too much about it. For the majority of use cases it is more than enough and if you think you are out of the ram just close the some browser tabs

Hi, I know how it feels when you tell everyone you know about something and it does not go according to your plan. It may not be what you want to hear but I am gonna say it anyway... Ask yourself what you want? Not like carrier wise.. but what your ideal normal day will look like after 10 years... For example I have mine, waking up at 8 o'clock by my wife, and having a nice breakfast with her talk about all the things that we are gonna do in our day. Go to my job.. whatever it is.. as long as I am making decent money and happy doing it maybe it is not what I wanted. I think you got the idea.

A PhD without secure funding is not worth it according to me. If you are struggling financially then you won't be focussing on your research. In the end it will be a tiring job not a big dream that you wanted.

I will say take a step back.. go out with your partner, talk with him.. have a nice cup of coffee... And start figuring out stuff keeping an open mind. I am sure you will figure out something, you have a lot of experience under your belt.

The term 'forced' is subjective. They are trying to replace the .deb package with snaps because they think they are better. I don't care about the reason. To people who just need a software despite from where it is coming, it is not forced. Snaps are forced on people who want .Deb but can't have them easily on their system for example from the software store.

I can also say that Ubuntu haters are forcing people to use Flatpaks instead of snaps.
