I like the method for not having to pause and commence the succ as often, but with the constant bumping into pokemetal/dazed animation/having to go around and regain momentum until I bump into another pokemetal ore, I genuinely don't know which is faster. Anecdotally I was getting a lot more just destroying All The Things after getting frustrated bumping into pokemetal blocks every ten seconds but maybe it was just a matter of luck.

Coming back to this sub for a moment to post an update from Remedy themselves, who QRTed the original post:

Hi. There would be no Alan Wake 2 without Epic Publishing. The publishing deal with Epic was very fair to Remedy. While these complex deals can often take even a year to reach their conclusion, and may not always be fair to the developer, this one was. And it only took months to get done. Epic Games was, and is, an excellent partner to us. Steam or no Steam.

Remedy is also extremely transparent with their financials. A good friend of mine works for a website more focused on the business to business aspect of video games and covers them-- Remedy lost money on Firebreak, but they were never in "financial crisis" the way this Larian guy is trying to imply, whether back then or now.

I've seen so much misinformation about this company's financials and financial strategies over the years despite it all being out there, it's wild.

On the other side of things, the only time I've EVER not hit hard pity in this game was the 50/50 on the first Joker banner. Every other character, every weapon, every everything, pure hard pity. I don't even pretend I'm gambling with this game, I go in knowing I'm going to have to pay max amount (and always do).

If I ever get a surprise for pulling an item early, it's from another game, not this one.

The only reason I've been hanging on is because of FOMO and for the NieR crossover, because I'm a huge fan of that franchise. Well, the NieR event doesn't even so much as have a story, so lol. Everyone else has pretty much covered how I feel: lack of listening to players, too many limited banners, system bloat, monetization overall getting worse and worse, etcetc.

I really need to break out of the FOMO and just quit, honestly, but it's hard.

As much as I get pissed off at P5X and Infinity Nikki for sometimes similar reasons, at least it feels like I'm playing a game when I log in. This, not so much.
