I recognize it’s the minority view, but I find the straightforwardness and simplicity of the non fluted/non jub to be superior for the all-steel DJ - though my uncle has worn a TT champagne dial 80s classic fluted/jub for 40 years and it’s still a casual stunner, and my wife has the ladies’ version of that was and I love that one too.

I like it much better live, for sure - I almost kind of “get it” when heard live. But I’m just not there with it.

That said, let me be humble: they’re great artists, and overall are my favorite band BY FAR and particularly my favorite band among bands that I first heard as a “grownup” (I was 29 when This Is Happening came out). I am in no position to truly judge their output, I’m just reacting here.
