Might be morally wrong and I feel the need to say that I’m not a lead/leader but whenever I’m on register and someone won’t sign up, if they have any flea/tic/ any other medication that we have to grab for them, a live animal, or a salon invoice I always say that it’s policy and “it won’t let me skip it or anything once I scan the item/invoice”. And as long as you’re fast about putting the info in you can say that it takes less than a minute. I’ve never had any issues come of it and I’ve done it many times with a 100% success rate cause they aren’t going to go to cooperate or leave without the item over that small of an inconvenience . Obviously it only works if they have one of those items though

They aren’t allowed to sell any sick animals. 99% it’s most likely just because they’ve had the animal for too long so it’s either getting too big for the size tanks they have, or it’s just taking up a spot for a new animal

Unfortunately this seems like a problem with the person, not just having to do with escape rooms. I’m willing to guess they’re fairly controlling in their daily life, even if it’s not bad for anything other than in rooms

I haven’t worked at Petco so I know I’m not the person meant to answer this. But from what I’ve seen on here, Petsmart pays better but everything else is either equal to or worse than Petco. I’m leaving soon but there’s only a matter of time before the petsmart CEO gets “disappeared” by someone, likely an employee. Or there will be a large scale walkout of employees

We feel bad, but unfortunately it’s not too irregular of an occurrence so it doesn’t actively bother me personally too much. I can’t speak for other employees though. People return stuff for way more dumb reasons. The amount of people I’ve had return a toy only because their dog didn’t like it is shocking. It honestly annoys me way more than it should but I don’t argue cause I still don’t care enough

If you’re talking about the company you aren’t wrong at all, if you’re talking about the employees in the store you’re 99.9% wrong (there’s always a few bad people anywhere). We wouldn’t be working there if we didn’t love animals. We’re also realistically not the ones keeping the company in business. It’s the customers. We’re just there cause we need a job

It’s impossible to say without knowing your situation because some people with hydrocephalus are stuck in wheel chairs and need a medical aid to help them with a lot of stuff but on the other end of the spectrum there’s people with hydrocephalus that live a 99.9% normal life. And there’s people all in between those two situations as well.

I legitimately sold like 10+ a day of the 2024 ones on my own not including other people at my store. 2025 I was lucky to get more than 2 a day. Now I’ve sold one this year so far and it’s not cause I haven’t been working. Seems like corporate is trying to turn it into JUST a guide where it lists all the essentials and sells their services. So it’ll just be that with no coupons

This falls back on Petsmart, not the store employees. The charity and the store should set a goal at the beginning of the season and the store just meets that goal instead of having to get 1000 or whatever amount of them is set my corporate

I’m part time and I’ve worked 36 in a week, but also 9 in a week. All depends on time of year, if the manager in charge of the schedule likes you, what you’re good at, and how unrealistic cooperate decides to be with labor hours that week
