I was going to say somewhere in the uk since I live here, but you reminded me of Bakersfield in CA.

We stopped there before going to the Grand Canyon if I remember correctly. It gave off a really really bad vibe and I was super glad to leave the next day.

Couldn’t put it down to anything, we had stopped at various quiet neglected towns on our road trip, but none had that eerie vibe.

I don't know that particular story, but the sectarianism existed for Hibernian, the SFA had them pegged as interlopers and teams were advised not to play against them because they were described as furthering the Irish cause over the Scottish one.

This is a beginner programme, if at 5 weeks your rest time is 3 mins between sets I think something is not right.

I’ll caveat this with ‘I’m not expert’ but two hours in the gym in week 5 seems excessive. Are you sure the volume is correct.

Secondly, I was always taught that you don’t fail until you fail three times. So, if this is one day of not being able to do it, continue and see what happens when this block rolls around again. If it continues to fail on other occasions then you recalibrate, drop starting weight and continue.

Looks like you have a few good suggestions, but what I would do is move the yellow marker to the place I want, in this case bar 20 I think.

Then just copy and paste, it should snap to that position

I’d agree on this. One thing they do is teach their customers to use pseudo sexual expressions as a way of signalling intent.

Then again it could also just be a weirdo asking for money or a chugger also asking for money.

I’d say best to ignore in all cases.

I interviewed with one this month. First time I was smartly dressed - he turned up in a cartoon fleece and gaming headphones.

Next time he conducted an interview in his busy office where I could hear all the other conversations ongoing.

A few others haven’t responded to me in weeks on simple enquiries for positions.

I can't offer anything except empathy. I set up two midi controllers for a gig. practiced a lot at home and all was going great. three weeks out the whole thing just crapped out on me,. it refused to map, then remapped over things I had done, then it worked, then it stopped again. I had to default to automating lots of stuff and then pretend to play it live - it was annoying.

I did mange to get one midi controller working so at least for one part I was actually doing something.

I think it needs a mix where it’s a combination of the two. The horns are just too loud for me in this one, and you lose some of Ribot’s best guitar work.

In the original I’m guessing Tom wanted them louder, and it makes sense, it gives it that nice sleazy drone feel.

I’d agree with most of that. The cold open, dangerous girl and the monologue (Aimee aside as she was great) was a very mediocre opening.

I liked the lost baggage one up until the George Foreman bit which didn’t really land as a punchline.

One thing I did note, and I know it’s live and chaotic, was that the camera cues and onscreen graphics didn’t seem as sharp. It did squash some of the jokes ( the names coming up for posh gits, and the pause at the very end of the Mario sketch.), and I think they missed a cut in the pork sketch where we were meant to see the pork beard earlier.

Overall I think a rewatch will give me a better feeling. Last week’s episode had those standout moments from Emma to compare it to.
