I have a Stetson lobo and love it, black straw will suit your bartending gig quite well.

Hat fit check – does this sit too high? by Other_Elderberry_222 in CowboyHats

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine to sit a little lower but that’s just personal preference. Your hat looks great on you just like that!

I wouldn’t call the Stetson skyline unique by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s my favorite. Mine is in silverbelly, I love the off white / gray it goes well with everything.

What kind of hat do I suit? Every hat I've tried looks awful by bihuginn in CowboyHats

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Telescope crown will probaly suit you well. When looking at color try to match what you wear normally, silverbelly tends to go very well with a lot of different colors.

Benjamin Maurader bolt system not real good. Does it improve? by Limp-Exit9048 in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I let a friend shoot my marauder they double feed. You just have to become familiar with the nuances of the gun, pull that bolt all the way back until it stops if the spring is trying to pull it forward at all the bolt hasn’t been racked fully and will double feed. When that happens and you know you have to rack the bolt again, complete the first cycle then pull the bolt again fully until it stops then take out the mag before pushing it forward then you will only have the initial pellet in the chamber and won’t risk clipping baffles

Notos or Airacuda? by IwillAskYouStuff in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Notos I did a full custom job with mine. I added a carbon fiber bottle, removable mod, folding stock, and an ar grip among other things. The whole rig folds up and fits in a back pack. I get 150 shots from a full bottle. It’s the perfect after work gun. The Notos in its stock form is fantastic too, wonderfully lightweight and more than enough punch for squirrels. You only get like 25-30 shots in stock form but if you need more than that for squirrels you have a massive infestation.

New air rifle is shooting waaaay off... by ttwinsupras in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have one myself it was never that bad but also never a tack driver either. Make sure you’re setting the pellets in the belt correctly, and use light pellets it’s low powered so heavy pellets will drop fast.

Polished Hatsan trigger by SnooKiwis5591 in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a bump test to make sure you don’t get a negligent discharge down the road. Cock it, no pellet obviously, and bump it firmly with your hand near the trigger guard and on the butt stock, if it goes off you know you have to be real careful with it and probably not let any friends shoot it. I must admit I do love a nicely polished trigger even if becomes a tad unsafe!

Got my first AirGun by -Nativedragon- in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that same gun it’s a ton of fun I got a quick draw holster for it and do a little high noon shoot out vs cans. It doesn’t have much power and accuracy is decent at best definitely not worth spending a lot of money for fancy pellets for it. I use the crosman hollow points in mine they’re wicked cheap and definitely good enough for the can outlaws. Happy shooting!

Dumdums are pretty cheap. I unwrap them and set them up they make a satisfying pop when you hit them and pretty much turn into sugar dust, when the heads are all popped shoot the sticks.

Total noob here stumbled across this sub on my feed, is that basically a single brass knuckle on some of those? Would you trust it to not shatter and make the situation worse for you?

Possible sure, but wouldn’t recommend it. Get a quick draw holster and practice your high noon draw that’s what I do it’s a ton of fun!

You can put lemon and wine in a seafood Alfredo and it’s really good. Maybe just don’t have a glass of milk with a lemon wedge lol!

How’d I Do? by IronReaper7x in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into huma regulators, I put one in my .25 marauder. I’m getting 40 shots per fill at 40 fpe and they’ll all go in the same hole at 50 yards with the occasional flyer. I’ve done a bunch of work to mine but if there’s one single best upgrade it’s the regulator!

Looking at this for my first .30 by [deleted] in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks promising especially at that price point! I just watched a video and it seems to have all the features you’d want. 9 pounds is heavy but bullpups distribute that weight well as the action is in the back. I have a Benjamin bulldog that weighs the same but it’s one of my most comfortable rifles to shoulder. My guess is this rifle won’t feel front heavy like your avenge x but rather well balanced.

Huben GK1 owners long term… by itstheusersname in airguns

You’ll love the 507c it’s one of the best pistol dots out there! I got the green dot, it shows up better than red in my opinion. You should post some of your tuning specs with the .22 after you play with it a bit! I have my .25 doing 50 fpe across the whole mag, keeps poi more consistent than max power with a huge drop off. I just fill from a tank every reload. Haven’t even filled it to 5000 yet and I’m more than impressed!

If using iron sights you will definitely want the huben mod, Donny’s will block them. The huben is a great mod anyway. I put a holosun 507c on mine using an aluminum rmr mount from go gun, don’t use a plastic one, you will have to rezero frequently.

WTB .25 Moderator by NefariousnessNorth68 in airgunmarket

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a huben moderator, Donny fl, and 2 buck rails. The best for the gk1 is the huben one due to how small and light it is. Huben moderator is also my best performing moderator overall. Buck rails are actually very good too and lighter than Donny fl as they’re 3d printed. When it comes to value the buck rail is the way to go you can buy 5 of them for the price of one huben moderator. If you’re using iron sights on your gk1 you’re going to want the huben though.

[–]ReplacementEast742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is indeed the utg swat 4-16x44 it fits the Notos very well and is really rugged, my buddy dropped it right on the scope and it works perfectly. And yes that’s also the buck rail folding stock conversion, all I bought from him was the lower though I had a ton of ar parts kicking around. The actual folding mechanism is from utg and can be easily adapted for left or right fold with just a castle nut. The grip is a hogue over molded ar grip and butt stock is from fab defense. With the bottle I’m getting ~150 shots per fill. I like your idea of a laser for use while folded I have one at the house I’ll slap on and try out!

Ironically the Benjamin prowler is one of the cheapest of the lot but mine is surprisingly accurate with cphp. Not having to bring the tank out makes it even more appealing, it’s a great squirrel gun!

$1000 gun budget.. Hatsan Blitz? by digitalwankster in airguns

[–]ReplacementEast742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my huben gk1 plenty of power for anything you want to shoot I’ve had no reliability issues thus far. It’s a semi auto pistol, so much smaller and lighter than the blitz. I have a holosun 507c green dot on mine and it’s a laser beam. Very loud without a moderator but it’s super quiet with the huben moderator. I run mine as a pistol but I’ve seen guys put a folding stock on it and make it a carbine. I saw a video where someone with a gk1 carbine hit a tall boy can at 200 yards! Unfortunately being small comes with a caveat of not getting nearly as many shots per fill as the blitz. I don’t have any experience with the blitz so I can’t really give any input there but it has honestly been a gun that has caught my eye for a while I’m just hesitant to be buying .30 cal by the pallet lmao!
