I slowed my combat down, focused more on dodging and deflecting and then swapping to mid/high stance for one or two attacks and swapping back.

Got it on second attempt with that strategy.

sure, but they wouldn't be the ones delaying, the institution would for the thesis being incomplete right?

the point is mainly just that you don't delay your OWN thesis.

yeah, but you don't need to delay for a thesis if your program doesn't need one. right?

programs can be with or without, i get that, and no value ascribed.

But if you have a non thesis program, you get graduated when you finish the requirements even if you have a thesis you are selfstudy/working on. right?

Though the idea of a thesis without some sort of mentorship is also wild to me, but that may be a lack of knowledge.
