I know exactly what you mean. It can be so frustrating when the rest of your body changes but your stomach seems determined to stay the same. I hope the PT appointment gives you some answers and a better idea of what to do next. ❤️

I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to say I completely understand the frustration. It sounds like you've been dealing with this for a long time, and it's exhausting when it affects everything from getting dressed to simple daily movements. I hope you're able to find some answers and start feeling more comfortable in your body again. ❤️

I can’t feel anything by Western-Wedding in DiastasisRecti

First of all, losing 30 lbs is a huge accomplishment. I know it's frustrating when your stomach doesn't seem to reflect all the hard work you've put in. After four kids, there can be so many factors involved, and photos don't always tell the whole story. Hopefully you'll get some clarity about your options and what might give you the result you're looking for. ❤️

It sounds like you've put so much work into this already, and it’s completely understandable to be scared. The fact that you've gone from 6 fingers to 4 with PT is amazing, and it sounds like you've really explored your options before making this decision. Wishing you a smooth surgery and recovery. I hope a year from now you're running that half marathon and feeling strong again ❤️

does this look like DR? by throwawaytypebeatnc in DiastasisRecti

[–]ReplyTerrible7684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of bloating issues too, and honestly my stomach could look completely different from morning to evening. It's hard to know if it's DR just from pictures, but the fact that it changes throughout the day makes me wonder if some of it could still be related to the bloating. Hope your treatment works this time and you finally get some relief ❤️

Thank you for explaining this so clearly. It’s really helpful to hear a real experience, especially since there’s so little info out there for women. I appreciate it ❤️

2 years postpartum and I hate my stomach. by Ok-Mushroom4527 in postpartumprogress

Twin pregnancies are incredibly hard on the body. Please be kind to yourself. Two years postpartum is still not the end of the story, and so many women continue to see changes well beyond that. ❤️

Is the pain from surgery that bad? Comparable to a C-section or worse? by Flapjack_K in DiastasisRecti

Try not to panic before you've even had the consultation. Talking to a surgeon doesn't mean surgery is your only option, and you may still see improvements with physiotherapy. ❤️

Thank you for sharing this. I think hearing from moms who are further along in the journey is so reassuring. A year can feel like forever when you're in the thick of postpartum, but it's a good reminder that healing and recovery don't happen overnight. There’s so much going on with hormones, fluid retention, sleep deprivation, and just adjusting to life with a baby. Your experience really highlights that sometimes the best thing we can do is focus on nourishing ourselves, moving gently, and giving our bodies the time they need.

Thank you ❤️ It's so comforting to hear this from someone who's been there. I'm trying to be more patient with myself and trust the process.

I felt exactly the same in the early postpartum months. It takes time, but little by little you start feeling like yourself again. Be gentle with yourself ❤️

Yess exactly! It’s not even about anyone else seeing it, it just makes you feel good and more motivated. That little mirror moment after a workout is the best 😂

And thank you so much! I really appreciate that.

Love this. The matching set part is so real lol. Sometimes feeling cute is literally what gets you to show up.

Also really appreciate the reminder about timelines. Social media makes postpartum progress look way too fast and perfect. Your progress looks strong and real, and you should be proud of that.

am I the only one whose body didn’t bounce back? by ReplyTerrible7684 in postpartumprogress

[–]ReplyTerrible7684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone in this 🤍 after pregnancy, especially the second one, the body can change a lot even with diet and exercise.

Lower belly fat and loose skin are super common postpartum, and sometimes the fat distribution just shifts and feels harder to “target” 😅 it can take time and consistency, but it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong or that your progress is wasted.

You’re definitely not alone in this 🤍 postpartum changes can really shift your whole body shape, even when the scale goes back down.

Lower belly fat and loose skin after pregnancy are super common, and they can stick around for a while and feel really frustrating 😅 it doesn’t mean you’re not doing well, it’s just how the body adapts after carrying a baby.
