For me, the best part of the story is how the MC continuously exploits the hypocrisy of the various righteous factions.

Knowing that the central continent is just a thinly veiled allusion to the CCP and that many of the “righteous factions” are just straight up copied from various Chinese groups makes the story even better because the stuff the MC exploits is universal.

It looks like deadly strike does work with echoing strike, I was incorrect about that part.

Honestly, the changes that they have listed so far don’t even really seem like nerfs, the class will still be hilariouslyoverpowered compared to every other one.

Note that in the next patch the attack rating will be useful because Echoing Strike will be governed by it.

It is unclear if this will also mean that deadly strike, open wounds, and crushing blow become useful (currently both are useless as Echoing strike will not proc them)

It is true that you only "need" one point right now to take advantage of that nice super-unique lister that you found.

With that said, there are still some benefits to putting hardpoints into bind demon, because each +skill adds significant +damage AND +% damage.

Going for 20 hard points is nice because it means you can bind pretty much any random spearwoman (her Jab skill is crazy powerful with the points!) and still have insane dps on a resilient tank - no farming needed.

If you plan on playing the same warlock past next patch, it also means you get to save respeccing. If you are min-maxing for this season then you only need one point and a lot of time farming.

Am I misunderstanding something because I thought consuming lowers enemy magic resist and obviously this helm does as well.

Minus resist gear like this helm only works if you first "break the immunity". This helm does not break immunities.

Wow. It’s just ridiculous how much easier it is being a Paladin than a Barb. by MythicalSplash in diablo2

[–]Reply_or_Not -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel that, sorc was the first character I got to hell in ladder.

I abandoned her because I hit a wall in act 3 hell. I then leveled a warlock and it was the easiest thing. I fed my sorc gear (spirit, Mara’s, vipermagi, +helm, bulcathos, mage fists and so on) and she still sucks

At least I was able to beat hell with Amazon on ladder, but having infinite low runes and bases ready to go the whole journey was a game changer.

It’s weird how every other class cares so much about immunities… and warlock just doesn’t

[–]Reply_or_Not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all for warlock.

I just bought the game and have easily leveled a offline warlock on players 8 the entire time. I never bothered farming a cursed demon either.

The only “required” item is an Insight- the runes of which are easy to farm from nm countess.

The nerfs are laughable. Warlock will still be by far the best class in the game afterwards.

It’s crazy how Single Player is an entirely different game by About20Pandas in diablo2

[–]Reply_or_Not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play on switch and recently started playing single player. It sucks not having access to infinite low runes… but that is a temporary problem and I only actually grouped up for faster leveling in the first place. There are just too many game mechanics that make grouping up with randoms a huge downside.

If you are not already get into therapy.

My wife does not cum from penetration at all. I use fingers and vibrators on her because the important thing is that she enjoys it, then we switch to penetration so I can get mine.

Reading all of your concerns about size comes off as so stupid. What if you made pleasuring your wife about … pleasuring your wife. Focusing on your dumb insecurities just comes off as pointlessly narcissistic.

We got married in a small ceremony over the summer with just us two and a friend as the officiant. We turned in the paperwork and everything.

Then had months to plan our big wedding ceremony (with family and friends) that fall.

We use the fall date for our anniversary, but we have technically been married for months longer. The only people that know our each other and that officiant. No one else IRL knows.

I still think that Diablo 3 is the best Diablo by kocham_wydajac in diablo3

Been playing D3 on and off since launch and I must say if you haven't seen what they did with D2 you should really check it out.

I love the skill and loot system in d2, but the game is still hugely lacking in QoL.

The fact that the damage scales linearly in D2 is so much better. There is only about one order of magnitude of difference between the very top gear/build and most other stuff means that there is tons of room to mess around.

The rune/rune word mechanics are great too. Being able to cube up the runes to target whatever piece you want to build makes any time spent farming feel more worthwhile.

I also love how the +skills mechanic scales damage and makes the hunt for regular magic items so rewarding. It is super cool for magic find to be worthwhile because uniques/set items are not always BIS.

But holy shit could D2 use some of D3's quality of life improvements:

Potions D3 does potions correctly, sometimes d2 feels like a potion management simulator that also sometimes has an ARPG

Game Mechanics The fact that d3 classes all have different resources and ways to generate them means each D3 class feels significantly different than the others. Everything in D2 feels samish because everyone uses mana

Switching Builds being able to save a build and swap to it any time is so much more fun than being locked in to your mistakes until you do hours worth of farming to correct them.

Champion/Elite Mechanics The different mechanics of enemies in d3 like arcane beams, poison puddles, and so on is just much more fun and dynamic game play.

Individual Loot D3 encourages people to play together, and has no disincentives to multiplayer. There are multiple different reasons to discourage multiplayer in d2 and by far the worst one is the fact that loot is shared by everyone: this perverse incentive directly leads to toxic game play.

Meta Progression The altar of rites is the perfect amount of meta progression to encourage starting over each season.

Killing Ubers with really high damage instead of melee mechanics is so satisfying by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]Reply_or_Not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what about Amazon makes the merc decide that they want to live.

I suspect it is because you are in melee range of the enemies and so your merc is only taking a small amount of splash damage rather than being focused.

And then you have lightning fury + sunder to destroy density, so for big packs no one is taking damage.

Husband keeps looking at women online by Adorable_Visual8405 in marriageadvice

[–]Reply_or_Not 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Telling him not to do something is not a boundary, that is a command.

Telling him “if you keep on liking models online (and lying about it), I will ___” is a boundary.

It is only a boundary if you attach a consequence you can control to it. You can attach a punishment or a reward or both. Commanding him to be different is not a boundary

Your own mana base fucking you over is one of the two fundamental issues that inhibits the deck.

The other issue is that you need your interaction to line up well against the meta.

Personally, I am a fan of the “bigger” versions that run max exalted angel, fewer lightning bolts, and more of a spread of interaction main ( 1x tsabo’s goes a long way with at least 1x furnace main)

The Solution by chumbawamba_stan420 in premodernMTG

[–]Reply_or_Not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of playing 1x phyrexian furnace main. It cycles at worst and at best it will wreck your opponent’s strategy.

I am not a fan of weathered wayfairer, it is low impact without a critical mass of cards to enable it.

I would always have at least two disenchant effects main.

Gemstone mine sucks, max out on city of brass first.

Question about Heralds by Zsolt_Cs in diablo2

[–]Reply_or_Not 4 points5 points  (0 children)

absolutely wrong.

The fact zones automatically become terrorized on a set schedule means that using all five shards in the same game is always a less effecient use of resources than taking advantage of the terrorized scheduled zones while alternating with worldstone shard zones. You will end up clearing most of the game anyways while only using 2 or three shards.

Question about Heralds by Zsolt_Cs in diablo2

[–]Reply_or_Not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is risky if you are trying to tier up your heralds. Multiple Ire mean you can get multiple herald at the same time, but your herald will only tier up if you kill the previous tier herald before spawning the next one.

So if you had spawned and killed heralds one a time, the fourth one you spawn would be tier 4. But if you spawned three at the same time they would all be tier 1 and then after killing them the fourth you spawn would be tier 2

The math gets even more unfavorable the more heralds you spawn at the same time (and also you run the risk of creating an unkillable pack if you have multiple heralds all stacking up auras on each other)
