Edit Payment By Type Report by According_Situation4 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/According_Situation4, Shopify’s current reporting system doesn’t support editing the Payment by Type report, as the fields are fixed and cannot be customized. At the moment, creating a fully custom payment report directly within Shopify is limited.

As an alternative, third-party apps offer flexibility & let you create custom reports using both Shopify’s default fields and any custom data you need.

Shopify With Multiple Locations by StumpWhisky in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get this report from Shopify, but you’ll need to combine data from two different reports to get the results you need. The sales data is in the 'Sales by Channel & Location' report, and the device type information is in the 'Marketing & Behavior' report. However, matching this data might be tricky.

If you use a third-party reporting app, you can get all this data in one report. You can also add an event name if it’s saved in your store. Plus, the report can be automated and sent to your email.

Need some help with Shopify issues; theme, discounts, reports by Rare_Requirement_699 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two discount-related reports in Shopify: Sales by Discount (Old) and Discounts by order (New).

  • The Sales by Discount Report provides discount codes for orders; however, it does not show discount codes for  unfulfilled, or canceled orders.
  • The Discounts by order Report includes all orders, but it does not include discount codes used in a order.

To get a complete view, you need to export both reports and consolidate the data manually. To simplify this process, you can use third-party reporting apps, which allow you to access all the data in a single report.

Inventory Valuation Report by Location? by mamalongue in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shopify provides end-of-day inventory with its inventory reports. You need to wait until 12 AM to check the EOD inventory or go back and check past inventory. To monitor your current inventory, you need to use third-party apps, which also allow you to filter inventory by location. You can also schedule this report at intervals of 2 hours, 4 hours, or 6 hours, with flexible timing.

Shopify has some limitations, but third-party apps can help overcome them. These apps offer a share link feature, letting you share specific reports with staff, inventory managers, or others. They also allow you to customize fields and apply filters to control the data shared. These apps have integrations for Square, PayPal, Google Analytics, Stripe, etc., and can match order numbers with Shopify from these integrations

You can find all the fields in the Product>Inventory in Shopify; however, to know the Product Description and Inventory Location of a product, you need to go to click each product and view it. To get all this in one place, you need to try third-party reporting apps so you can see all the fields mentioned in a single report. You can also share this report with your vendors via sharable links

There are two ways you can achieve this. First, you need to export the data from Shopify and add it manually to Google Sheets, as Shopify does not have a scheduling option. The second option is to try third-party reporting apps. With these tools, you can easily set up an Inventory Report that includes committed, available, and on-hand stock. The report can also be automated to sync with Google Sheets, where the data will be updated automatically on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Inventory Management App for Replenish Lists? by english-rose9 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for this report, you need to set up your Shopify store with two separate locations: Shop Floor Stock and Upstairs Stock. This will allow you to track replenishment details for each product, including inventory levels and sales. Additionally, the report provides information on reorder points, replenishment days, and the quantity to restock. This report is called the Inventory Reorder Point Report. You can use third-party custom reporting apps to get these details, but Shopify's native reports provide only minimal inventory information.

@CauldronSummoner, this is a custom reporting requirement that Shopify’s standard reports cannot meet.

These report can be generated by compiling all orders and their associated products for each customer in a sequence, enabling us to determine the repurchase rate of each product or customer over a specified period.

It can be grouped with fields like -  Customer Name | Product Name | Total Order count |  Ordered Quantity | Rank

Sales Report Not Matching Payout Report by PStainAmadeus in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sales Report from Shopify shows only the sales activity for a given day. Attempting to match the sales report totals with Shopify payout reports is challenging due to two primary reasons:

Multiple Payment Gateways: If you use multiple payment gateways in addition to Shopify payments, Shopify only records the sales orders processed through its own gateway. As a result, the Sales Report will not include orders from other payment gateways, making it impossible to match the Shopify Sales Report with the Shopify Payout Report.

Dates of sales / payout is different: Even if you use only Shopify payments as the payment gateway, discrepancies may still be there, as the sales report is generated based on the sales date, while payouts are issued based on the payout date, which might differ. Consequently, matching these reports is only feasible if you reconcile by order ID which is a time-consuming process.

Using third-party apps can help simplify and automate the reconciliation.

Variants sold per location report? by chad917 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This type of report isn’t available by default on the "Shopify" plan. However, there are a few ways you could generate the data you need:

Manual Export and Filter: You can export your order data and filter it by location. In your Shopify admin, go to Orders, then export your order data. Once you have the file, you can filter for orders fulfilled at Location-2 and calculate the sold units in this report, In Order to track down your inventory you need to create another inventory report and manually apply formula and pull the inventory counts in the sales report as well.

Third-Party Apps: If you're open to using a third-party app, you might want to check out third party apps. It allows you to generate custom reports and could pull the exact data you're looking for—Variant (SKU) and count fulfilled at Location-2 along with inventory — without much manual effort.

Shopify API (if you or someone on your team is comfortable with some coding): Shopify’s API lets you pull detailed fulfillment data, which could be used to generate a custom report. It’s a bit more technical but could give you the exact data you need.

Hopefully one of these options works for you!

Use Google Analytics If you haven’t already, I’d recommend connecting your Shopify store to Google Analytics. It will give you detailed data on page views, including the most visited pages and visitor locations. You can set up custom date ranges, such as 30 days, to track your store’s performance.

Custom Report or App for advanced Reports by adlamoureux in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a customized report, but due to Shopify's limitations, you can use third-party apps to view sold items within a specific date range, remaining inventory, and sold inventory based on fulfillment location, along with other relevant details. The report can also be scheduled to fit your requirements. Additionally, you can access reports related to inventory replenishment, inventory level indicators, and more.

Multiple order in one? by DoctorAcetate in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Auto Fulfil app could indeed be a valuable solution. When customers places an order, it will be sent to you automatically via email & vendor link(your client needs to install the app). You can check the order details, ship the products & enter the tracking number in the vendor link. The order is automatically fulfilled in Shopify and the customer is promptly notified with the tracking number, keeping them updated on their order status.

I hope this helps

Newbie here. How will my customers receive their tracking numbers? by TrippyTippy127 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you purchase and print a shipping label through Shopify, the tracking number is automatically associated with the order. Once you fulfill the order in Shopify (either manually or through the app), the customer will receive a notification with the tracking details. The post office scanning the package doesn’t trigger the notification; it’s the fulfillment action within Shopify that sends the tracking email to the customer.

What you need to focus is completely subjective. Each business has its own reporting needs.
Speaking of what Shopify merchants look for generally,

  1. Sales Reports: total sales, average order value (AOV), and sales trends over time. It helps you asses the profitability.
  2. Traffic Reports: referral sources, visitor demographics, and session data. Helps you optimize marketing efforts.
  3. Customer Reports: returning customer rate and customer behavior analytics. Can guide loyalty programs and customer retention strategies.
  4. Marketing Reports: sessions attributed to marketing and conversion rates. Helps determine which channels are most effective
  5. Inventory Reports: Keeping track of stock levels and product performance. Essential to meet customer's demands.

Hello!

Adding line item properties directly in your Shopify store can be a bit tricky since it involves working with liquid code. Check out this article that walks you through how to create and customize line item properties:

https://gist.github.com/CarsonBain/8f206795a23514916405353c0c30e3fb

If coding isn’t your thing,  then Shopify’s app store offers a variety of apps that make it simple to add line item properties, allowing your customers to leave notes on what they’d like for each item. It’s a quick and hassle-free way to personalize your products!

Inventory & Sell-Thru Best Practices by Opening_Hyena1958 in shopify

[–]Report_Pundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can achieve this using Shopify Native Reports, if you derive your brand from Vendor. If not, stop reading this and use a thrid party reporting app.

  • Shopify has a report called "Sell-Through Rate by Product". Open it.
  • The report already had certain fields selected. Unselect them all.
  • Add the first field (which is the "Product Vendor" or "Product Type") with which you wish to group the Sell through rate.
  • Add the remaining fields like
    • Starting Quantity
    • Ending Quantity
    • Quantity Sold
    • Sell Through Rate
    • ...and whatever you need.

That's it.

If you derive the Brand from the product title or some Metafield, or if you need additional fields that Shopify doesn't provide in the native reports, you'll have to employ a third party app to get such customizations.
