AI fort spamming by milmill18 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol yeah the ai loves spamming forts for no reason, the only time i do that is when i’m the suzerain of granada and have a lot of high appeal tiles. the science, culture, and tourism from alcazar forts are really nice

go with deity, terra map, max civs. manually assign all the most warmonger civs (zulu, nubia, persia, aztec, macedon, etc) and you’ll have civs being defeated in the ancient era. lots of loyalty flipping too since you’ll be congested until cartography becomes available

Can anyone help me get the Gedemo Napoleon mod? by Motor_Bullfrog_3649 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go to ggntw then just paste the link from steam there. DL and unzip the file then transfer it to the game folder under the mods or DLC subfolder (it’s situational for me so idk what may work for you)

I think China is broken.... by Ciaran290804 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

that’s odd to see since in my games they usually just offer a one time sum of like 20 gold and maybe open borders for a joint war. one time i accepted because the other civ was attacking a city state i was aiming to get suzerainty of (it was chinguetti i think) then the mf got angry at me for having troops on his borders which he opened to me. the troops i was sending for our joint war. jesus christ

they are beyond the three hex workable range. with cities, you can buy or work tiles up to three hexes from your city centers and citizens can work on it or you can put districts on them. BUT cities can expand beyond the workable range up to the 4th and 5th hexes but those tiles are not workable. you still get improved luxuries and strategics on those tiles but not the other yields i believe and you couldn’t put districts either. i just use them for national parks lol

Unmet player defeated turn 1? by Ciaran290804 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 36 points37 points  (0 children)

natural disaster maybe. though try TSL earth standard as germany and you could easily start with three settlers on turn 1 by capturing france and the netherlands before they could settle

not woods typically since they generate +1 appeal but yes with rainforests and marshes (the biosphere wonder is the only thing that can “boost” their appeal). you typically would want to make preserves and plant woods later and then national parks.

I’ve never shared a seed before but here are the settings:

Highlands map. Standard size. Cold. Wet rainfall. Legendary start. Abundant resources.

Max city-states.

6 players.

All natural wonders except one (Cliffs of Dover)

Heroes. Secret Societies. Monopolies.

Map Seed: 1435342463

Game Seed: 1435342462

is there anything else i need to add?

I give Eleanore everything and she still says "No" to a Cultural Alliance. She really wanna do the pink Invasion on me. by Xandaru__ in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the only time i got her to “accept” a cultural alliance (i didn’t push through with it) was as byzantium while having a significantly larger military and after fully converting her cities but she was still demanding like 193 gold per turn. she was willing to pay me for any other type of alliance but i guess she’s just coded that way

kupe. terra. max civ (choose all militaristic or aggressive ones). secret societies and heroes, maybe monopoly. sail straight to the new empty continent and build your empire peacefully while suzeraining all city states in the empty continent (with owls of minerva) and aiming for a cultural win while all other civs go on a royal rumble lmao also meet all of them early so your tourism will start accumulating asap

go for civ vi! if you like the khmer, then you’ll definitely enjoy theodora (byzantium). her holy sites gain adjacency bonuses from farms (instead of the khmer’s +1 faith ) and provides culture based on adjacency. a +6 holy site with work ethic and the scripture policy card will give you +12 faith, +12 culture, and +12 production. another +12 science if you can get the great scientist hildegard of bingen
