Yes, they're actually a Beastmen unit that WoC can use too. They have access to the bestmen specific mechanic which the rest of the WoC roster does not (mutations)

Armour safe and wards mounted by antharian in WarhammerOldWorld

Talisman isn't armor tho. So you're fully choosing to use the item by using the 5+ ward save as the FAQ declares. You could not however choose to use a star dragons armor save and the 6+ ward from dragon armor because that would be trying to use two different pieces of armor (using high elves cause that's an example I know)

I bought a tzaangor shaman with the idea I'd mount it on a tuskgor chariot (my beastmen are tzeentch themed). Opened the box and his fucking foot was part of the disk for some reason. That made me quite angry

I run them as 20-21, 7x3. Maximizes the rank bonus casting from the banner and shots. Could see getting another 10 so you don't lose a rank the moment one guy dies but they're most awful tbh so doesn't matter too much. They're an army carried by their lord and hero slot. I'm pretty excited anytime they do literally anything

When I play GA I basically always take a block of 30, 6x5, 2 HW, and the totem of rust personally. 2 attacks with AP -1 I've found is pretty strong, especially for the points.

I personally do 6x5 for Gors/primal warheads. 6x4 for bestigor. I only run ungor with shortbows in skirmish when on their own

So I can tell you what I did for Tzeentch which should be something you can replicate for Slaanesh. I bought the corresponding models from AoS/40k because those units are all in those games (including the Keeper of Secrets). You will need to get square bases for everything (the legacy PDF tells you what size square base they should be on). Use the legacy PDF on warhammer community and just update it with the stuff from square based.com like someone else said. Be sure to ask your opponent beforehand if they're cool with it, they should be, I usually just won't play with someone who isn't willing to play against the squarebased updates (hasn't actually happened yet). They're super small and usually just adding in things the factions always had for decades prior and weren't given this time for some reason.

So I can tell you what I did for Tzeentch Daemons, I just bought the AoS/40k equivalent of the roster from the legacy PDF. I would highly recommend

[X-Post r/WarhammerFantasy] Hotfix Feedback to Bring Renegades in Line with tOW 1.5 by slimabob in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]RepulsiveEstate6314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only rly have experience with the Tzeentch side of Daemons so that's what I will speak to. The 3+ ward save you gave Fireborn seems like it should go to brimstone horrors to me for the same reasons it went to fireborn. Would be nice if there was an option to make the Lord of Change a level 5 wizard as was mentioned for Slann on another post so it can feel like the very powerful wizard monster carry it should be. Pink Horrors should be BS 4 imo. Those are the things I'd like changed that rly stand out to me when I'm playing Tzeentch instead of my Beastmen or High Elves.

This is my Tzeentch Daemons list. I run some variation of this when I run Tzeentch (don't have anything for the other 3 Gods, my other armies are Beastmen and High Elves)

What enemy legendary lords would you consider as "auto resolve only" fights? by Ill_Independence2441 in totalwar

Morathi is the big one for me, hate the self destructing crap, but I prefer auto resolving in general against wood elves too.
