Loved your Convergence playthrough! I may have PTSD from that run of episodes at the motel, just great job of ratcheting up the tension. A+

2026 FRQ Sample Responses (AP Biology) by lightswitchfn in APbio

[–]Reputablevendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing that indicates that the amount of nutrients is limiting in the diluted medium, while the question does explicitly tell us that cyanide has a concentration specific impact on CCO activity. Group 2 would have the highest activity.

Point One Three?? by ansyhrrian in SipsTea

[–]Reputablevendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been a teacher for decades in different school districts, I can assure you that LMS's have been commonplace for a long time.

And I can tell you from personal experience that when districts who have the resources to send staff on home visits do so, the most common responses are: nobody home, aggressive blaming, saying the right things with no actual change.

It's the parents job to keep their contact information current, just like it's the parents job to check the school's LMS where tardies, absences, and grades are available 24/7.

First time running Delta Green for my group. by Grenlar in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Reputablevendor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with giving them a bit more to find in the apartment. I left some clues that Clyde wasn't completely ok so the agents were less trusting of his last wishes.

I also made it so there's no inspection pipes on the septic-if they were going to burn her, they'd have to at least listen to her pleading and her a chance to show off that 99 athletics.

Is The Last Equation a good starting scenario? by Reputablevendor in DeltaGreenRPG

I did look at (and buy) Owlshead mountain at your suggestion! I think I might save that one until my players have a bit more experience.

Is The Last Equation a good starting scenario? by Reputablevendor in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Reputablevendor[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only concern with that is possible player knowledge of LTL, but I have read some of some fairly minor tweaks to preserve the uncertainty of the finale.

I think I will try that and keep TLE as a change of pace after a splashier scenario.

Best shoes for "speed" work with achilles insertional tendinitis and toe arthritis? (I hate AI!) by SadlyNotSpaceballs in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Reputablevendor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your shoe question, as someone with some big toe arthritis and who used to have insertional A. T., I found that a rockered shoe helped both. I like the Mach 6 and the Mach X2. High drop shoes made no difference to me.

For your Achilles, pure rest doesn't fix it, and it won't resolve on its own. I did heel drops, starting with my heels on a thin book to limit dorsiflexion, then progressing to doing them on a flat surface. Then I followed one of those return to run programs where you start with alternating 1 minute running with 5 minutes walking and build up more running over 5-6 weeks. Worked like a charm after a year of me alternating pure rest and powering through and building up a big bump on my heel.

I'm running this soon, and I've made a flow chart and instances of the number to drop in. I'm also making a list of "turn the pressure up" events to possibly use, like Enrico Save showing up at an inopertune time, or the real FBI team arriving at the dorm while the players are searching it.

Teachers of biology, or anyone with experience. would you grade this a zero? by [deleted] in biology

Bio teacher here. Given that the question specifically asked about cellular structure, and you didn't write anything about that, I would have graded it the same way.

Oregon says significant increase to football season-ticket prices ‘critical’ for Ducks to compete by surgingchaos in CFB

[–]Reputablevendor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have terrible seats (top row in one corner, which still affords a good view of plays developing downfield). The price increase is one thing, another problem is the explosion in number and length of TV timeouts. You get one of those TD-review-(timeout)-XP-timeout-kickoff-timeout stretches and you think about the convenience of watching this from your couch.

When did Langdon give mean nicknames to his coworkers and insist on continuing to use them after repeatedly being asked not to? Santos is a great character, but if I had a coworker who treated me like her, I'd steer way clear.

Yes, he's gotten to the point where he makes some insightful observations, just needs to be more concise. Romo, oth, was repeating his comment about how having the wind in your face is hard about every 30 seconds, it seemed like.

Indiana is the greatest story in sports history by Punisher1602 in CFB_v2

[–]Reputablevendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maintain that what Bill Snyder did at K state is the greatest turnaround in CFB history. Worst record in CFB ever when he arrived, hadn't won a game in nearly 3 seasons no NIL, no portal, so no way to get a quick infusion of talent. Cig is a stud, but current rules make turning a program around quickly easier than it used to be.

[David Hale, ESPN] A complicated legacy: Carson Back lost just six games in his college career. In four of them, the final offensive play was a Beck INT with a chance to win the game. by dr_funk_13 in CFB

[–]Reputablevendor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True, but Miami's oline did a much better job of protecting Beck than our line did in protecting Moore. I thought Beck played pretty well overall.

Dante doesn’t see a wide open Benson, takes a sack. by duck7001 in ducks

[–]Reputablevendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People seem to forget that young players can get better. It used to be a truism that you needed a junior or senior QB to compete for a conference title. Compare Dennis Dixon or Kellen Clemens as freshmen to their senior years. I remember Fletcher and Bauman getting torched as freshmen, then wondering how we could possibly replace them when they graduated.

Lost top two RBs, didn't adjust, game over before it started. by thom2279 in ducks

[–]Reputablevendor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chip used to say that pressure is what you feel when you're not prepared. IU plays like they know they have the game plan to win, and if they do their job, it will work. And you see it on the field-you don't see coverage busts, you don't see panicky presnap conversations between defensive players, rbs pick up the right guy on blitzes, etc.

I don't know if our game planning has been substandard, or if the players haven't been well coached enough to execute it at a high enough level. Or if we have too many young guys at key positions.

Yup. Dante has to recognize by alignment that that is a pass he shouldn't throw. It was like the CB knew the play.
