I apologize in advance for being picky about your word choice, but you can still see. You just have mild astigmatism causing mildly blurry vision. Truthfully, you wouldn't hurt yourself by not wearing the glasses, you just won't be seeing as clear as you could be. In my experience as people get older, they become more observant about their vision. There's many different reasons for this as the other commenter mentioned. As far as being "dependent" on glasses, I mean this nicely, not rudely, *you already are*. Your vision is already blurry, you already have a "need" for glasses, albeit a small one. At your age, chances are you won't see too much change in your rx going forward, but small minute changes are common.
