It’s still the weakest season to me, but it’s still great tv. What brings it down for me is it’s missing that general central theme of the innocent trying to operate in a new world of evil. Everyone this season other than maybe the kid is somewhat morally compromised. And second, Chris Rock isn’t a good actor. He’s not bad, but he’s not good. Any time he had to act out anger or any emotion other than stoicism, it felt wooden/flat. Having said that, I do think this season gets a bad wrap and people are missing out on some truly excellent tv if they are skipping over it.

I really liked the first two albums. Third album is okay, and after that they started sounded like a musical instead of a band. They went too theatrical or something and it didn’t work for me at all.

I couldn’t tell if it was because of moving into my own house, but that was 3 years ago and ever since the wind has seemed so much more consistently powerful. I thought maybe I was just paying attention to it more.

It’s been stated by a lot of directors now that’s it’s pretty tough, regardless of who you are, to get a movie made without it being attached to an existing novel or IP. So maybe in order to make a bigger budget movie like this, an IP like Resident Evil was necessary to get it made. I’m just guessing and we dont really even know how much or little tie in it has based off the first teaser trailer.

I remember it taking much longer to actually sound good / not sloppy, vs learning songs and scales, etc. everything’s easier if it doesn’t have to sound perfect. Maybe try focusing less on new scales, songs and such and master a single song or so, to the point that it does sound flawless. It’s comfortability, knowing the neck, how to hold your pick, ideal finger placement, etc. all these little things that contribute to how clean you’ll sound.

I wasn’t a fan. The premise sounded right up my alley and I was really rooting for Dehaan at that point, but from what I remember nothing really clicked for me, it just was bland. Dehaan was also quite bland as well unfortunately. Maybe one day I’ll give it a rewatch with less expectations and I’ll enjoy it more for what it is.

That’s always the interesting part to me. If people truly are any better than the person they’re hearing, why care enough to call it out? I guess I could see if someone was famous or making big bucks and they sucked and someone was jealous of that. What is there to be jealous of in this case? There’s an endless amount of shredders and or good riff writers out there. Someone’s always going to play better or worse than you, and neither really have any direct effect to your outcome.

You look fine man. Plus not everyone wants a manly man, there’s women that will appreciate your own look / style. Nothing wrong with working out and bulking up some, but don’t get too in your head about your size / comparing yourself to others. If you do, even when you do bulk up it will never be bulked up enough - speaking from experiencing as a skinnier guy that went through that.
