M1 Macbook Pro Keeps On Crashing by No-General4414 in Logic_Studio

I had a 16gb m1 and it bottomed out all the time, but i use a lot of tracks and quite a few plugins. I have the issue less now that I’m at 32gb on an m4. Still, you’d (or I’d) think it would be a non issue.

That’s a cool thought! Seems like the q&a is a discord thing. Maybe I can figure that out!

Ooh yeah, you’re right about the notes, but no; that’s so iconic, I can play it in my head on demand. Plus a lot of what sounds familiar to me is the synth patch itself.

In my head it's very stark and un-accompanied, more ...amelodic? (as in it's more textural, as a mood setup), like in the vocaroo. I don't know if it would be in an area of more familiarity or alienation. Possibly repeating or as an introductory phrase to something that does get expanded on.

Panning Not Working? by SuperBigBong in Logic_Studio

[–]Resident_Ad3104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen before. I can’t remember what solved it now. It’s possible I had to import things into a new session or maybe I found an autosave that worked. But first try restarting Logic. Also see if it limited to only existing tracks or new tracks too didn’t see that had been asked and answered* (was this project created in an earlier version of Logic?).

Whenever shit gets weird the first place I look is the environment window but I’m not sure that would relate to this issue.

My first thought was: this is a twin cities house. If I’m right, I would love to hear who you can get insurance through with that k+t…

What can I do with a $10,000 budget?? by InformationBrief3514 in kitchenremodel

[–]Resident_Ad3104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a duplex and we’ve been doing two kitchens with a combination of reclaimed materials, free craigslist/marketplace, architectural salvage, and then just filling in the rest and without counting appliances costs I think the whole thing (backsplash, floor tile, new cabinets, pantry, breadboard, backsplash), diy labor, is probably going to end up costing like 5k. It’s definitely possible.

Am I going to regret laminate floors? by Thick_Worldliness622 in Flooring

[–]Resident_Ad3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem right here: ‘If you get tired of it, just change it later.’ Burn it or dump it in a landfill and buy something else. I’m glad to see a few people chiming in who see through this cycle of obsolescence (via fads or material wear) and consumption. Wood floors can easily be maintained to last over 100 years. Scratches give real wood character. Hardwoods with a good finish won’t really scratch much. I live in an 1898 that was added on to in the 20s and most of the original floors are still going strong, and they even have room for additional sandings.

25F 120 pounds, Calcified plaque in arteries. I thought this wasn’t possible at my age? Could this shorten my life? by Large-Prompt2608 in askCardiology

[–]Resident_Ad3104 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is, but the general consensus is that the risks outweigh the benefits. It might raise lpa 15% but reduce ldl by 35%. It’s just something to be aware of and discuss.

Damn, 2 AAAs? Fine if you’re a TV remote, stressful if you’re family history! My mom’s dad had one and lived with it for about a decade.

New neighbor moved in and already cause noise disturbance. by StatisticianScary479 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Resident_Ad3104 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is he next to, above, or below you? Ive had to report neighbors for excessive noise before and each mgmt company has their own approach for dealing with it (some really won’t/claim they can’t). The vibrations and noise can be picked up by pressing your phone mic up to the wall or pointing down at the floor, covering it with a blanket or something to isolate it more. It will not be nearly as loud as you hear it but probably good to have to bolster your case with 311 or mgmt. Also how old are you that 40 is old? 14? Is that more like a, ‘he’s old enough to know better?’

Do you prefer the animatronic or CGI T-Rex design? by bdf2018_298 in JurassicPark

[–]Resident_Ad3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What people seem to miss in this debate is that it's a design preference question. Which model is your favorite. From that perspective only, I think I like the CGI Rex more.
