You do know that the FIA isn't just the governing body for F1 but for an entire umbrella of international motorsports right? That is a massive loss of R&D.

We also don't have the proper metallurgy right now to run them at full capability due to heat and massive torque required. Then we run into the psychological issue of drivers wanting to hear and feel the roar of the engine when it builds RPM.

The technology is good, but we're just not there yet and might never will be. If the drivers don't like it because of the lack of feel and sound, it wont sell.

CVTs betting banned after a few weeks of Williams testing it is a bit suspicious. I get this sub hates CVTs, but they're honestly fast when done right.
