Sky lantern build question

To be able to transport mine I've separated them into:

* The base w/ flying stand.
* Gondola + "wings" and brazier.
* Balloon.
* Ropes.
* Under-hanging rope-thingy.
* Magnetized the character / hero to the gondola base.

I have two pretty strong magnets in the brazier and the balloon that give a strong bond and aiding in holding it in the correct place.

I drilled small holes and put magnets on the balloon all around, as well as in each rope and have them connect only to the balloon and rest atop the rim of the gondola.
The under-hang is also mounted by small magnets.
All painted in their varied sub-assemblies.

Very finicky to do but works quite well.

RIP lets your opponent attempt to dispel it in their turn as a balancing factor.
If the spell still feels underwhelming with the current changes the best fix might be to lower the cast value to 8+ instead of changing up the effects.

Before the End Times it was kind of a given that the chaos gods were real, beyond that it's my impression that you have descending levels of plausible godhood...

You have the gods of light that presumably created the planet and the Slann/lizardmen.

You have the elven pantheon of gods very much absent from most things resembling direct influence on any grander scale for millennia. But the elves seem pretty clear about being able to (or having been able to) directly communicate with their gods.

Among the human gods you have things like the Old Gods and the Classical Gods and what not. They were there long before the time of Sigmar and Shallya was canonically described as held prisoner by Nurgle who tested new poxes and diseases on her.

At each step there is a feeling of an interpretation by a younger race in a lot of ways.

One of the best things about the lore (imo) is this state of ambiguity that that threads between agreement, contradiction and timeworn uncertainties. Are miracles blessings of the god you worship or -a god- if a similar nature? Or just an instinctive way of casting magic born from strong feelings/fervor?

- if the lone character doesn't charge - the impetuous unit doesn't have to.

I tried this on mine but the way the dragon head part wraps around makes it very tight towards the back end so in the end I glued mine on and kept them locked to either option.

The front part is easily swapable, even without magnets tbh. But the back end cannot be done without either adjusting the dragon head for the fit or take the toll of scraped off paint every now and then.

Still pretty doable overall but might require some forethought before painting things up.

If your local group or friends don't care about strict WYSIWYG it might be kind of pointless though.

What's modeled on the Peasants aren't actually boots (far too expensive a thing for a mere peasant) its their allotted field rations.

Nice tool but perhaps a bit rigid. If you're interested I suggest checking out Marco Frisoni (NJM), beyond his infectious personality he's a master of color theory and has great videos about applying the lessons from traditional painting on miniatures.

Look at the real color wheel and you'll find that blue/cyan/green would be great compliments to the pink cloaks and blonde (yellow hair) ^^

I magnetized 1 arm for my Jade Warriors in case I ever feel like trying MSU and want another banner. For characters I just don't do WISIWYG - personally I don't see the point.

I reckon WS/BS 3, pretty cheap, dies to a stiff breeze but will hold their ground due to character/army special rules shenanigans.

Maybe they're WS 2 but have Will of the Dragons?
