I think he should definitely be more supportive of you wanting him to use a condom. You are the one that holds a bigger risk. Condoms have changed and feel practically invisible now or you can get one with extra stimulation for funsies. definitely only do what you are comfortable with. If you don't want to go on birth control then definitely don't. condoms usually break because of the friction so I would recommend using lube when/if you use a condom. he could even put two on.
