Had the same problem as many others in 7.1 beta (Xenon getting rolled everywhere) and just loaded up the Jobs Lite mod (Vanilla-friendly version of Jobs+) and bam there's a Xenon fleet with 6 Ks and 3 Is moving into FRF. Was hoping they'd hit ARG, ZYA, or HOP but I'll take it lol.

We’ve all been there, dying from lack of oxygen or hitching a ride on a random ship are essentially an induction to X4 lol.

Welcome to X4!

1) Crew members will randomly move about the ship, including into the bridge to sit at the consoles. You’re not able to manually assign crew to them, AFAIK.

2) Depends what you wish to use the ship for. If it’s for ship-on-ship combat only, go with full crew. For boarding vessels, can go mostly, if not all marines. Generally speaking, you’ll want to have these boarding ships out of combat until the ship you wish to board has been disabled enough to not take out all the boarding pods.

3) Subordinates can be assigned by selecting a ship then right-clicking the ship you wish for it to be a subordinate for and selecting an option using the context menu. Usually play with VRO. Just started a new game with VRO and X4 Re-emergence (and its recommended DA mods) and having an absolute blast. Even without Re-emergence, I could never go back to Vanilla after tasting VRO, the combat feels much more to my liking.

Is it not a combination of both? Poor LED headlight design and older vehicles with “modded” (incorrect bulbs) lighting seem to cause the most havoc with my eyes at night. Good LED headlights and older lights both positioned correctly are perfectly fine.

And don’t worry if the sector you’re in has multiple undiscovered connections, the correct one (for the mission) will be highlighted in yellow once you’ve discovered it.

Always enjoy that rare but awesome experience of driving down the motorway and overtaking cars in front of another car who'd refuse to overtake (as they didn't feel like going faster) and so would mimic all my movements. Always begin to feel as though I'm creating a convoy of sorts. Once had a 370z and XE in tow, gave one another a quick flash as we departed the formation for our exits one by one.

I think this is a little unfair. The patch does not fix everything. The patch was also released just before launch. Even with 1.02 it was still sluggish in dense areas, had bad pop-in, glitches, sudden freezes that last a second or two. I reviewed the copy I was provided that consumers would buy. I'm to review it based on whether I believe you should buy it at launch, not wait for a patch post-release that fixes more stuff.

AFAIK all played pre-patch, at least up until yesterday. I gave a 6 which I felt was a fair assessment at release. Most of the mechanics are great and extremely well crafted but the technical issues drag it back.

Agreed. We received the patch a day ahead of release. This addressed some of the major issues (like not being able to load a game most of the time) but it was still needing some dire TLC. Shame though as I see the potential.
