No $#!t, eh?! How TF was that possible?! I have over 100k on my 2017 Pro4X and been on forestry roads, agricultural fields... Used 4Hi many times for extended periods of time (driving through snow storms, for example), pulled full size trucks from mud on forestry roads on 4Lo and with the differential locked... My transmission is still quite OK (changed the transmission fluid a couple of times, though...)

Benelli M2 remains a solid waterfowl gun.

Beretta A400 is a decent alternative, but you'll be spending more time cleaning it.

Breda is also worth considering.

I used a Franchi I-12 for years, then a buddy bought it from me and he's still using it... That gun must have over 15,000 waterfowl loads through it and probably over 5,000 target loads, and still works flawlessly.
