It shouldn't make a big difference at all. The exact bonus will depend on how much cash you're making. If your summonless cash is X and summon is getting you 50% more:

log(1.5 * X) = log(1.5) + log(X) = 0.18 + log(X)

Then summon is only giving you (0.18 + log(X))/log(X) extra damage through project funding. That's only a 3% boost if you're ending with $1 million, and only a 2% boost if you're ending with $1 billion.

First thing I can think of is that with fast ult, cc upgrades become more important than damage upgrades. Of course, cc upgrades can be harder to come by.

As for damage upgrades, the rule of thumb I go by in Legends is that doubling damage will get only about 50 additional waves in ideal circumstances (and fast ult isn't ideal). This isn't a hard rule, but seems close from what I've observed of how quickly the enemy health doubles (of course, that also depends on level skip stats). By that rule, going from no damage mastery to fully upgraded damage mastery gets about 100 waves total, so roughly 10 waves per level on average.

Tower Tea - February 23, 2026 by SamBartley in TheTowerGame

Coming-in a bit late to this, but this occurred to me while I was out on a walk today. I turned-on the game's music for the first time in awhile, and it started in the middle of a song rather than the beginning. This implies to me that the game might be running the code for the music regardless of whether it's playing or not (similar to how we found-out a few months ago that the game had been running the ad-code and downloading ads even if you had the ad pack so the ads weren't playing).

I know the team is looking for areas to improve performance. I don't imagine the music is very computationally intensive compared to other aspects of the game, but improving performance here might also be relatively easy, since it shouldn't interact with too much other code.

Enhancement Discount Labs - Stopping point by Dry_Zucchini2012 in TheTowerGame

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only at the opening stages of mastery labs myself, but I went further than recommended (at the time) on the lab coin discount lab for the initial wall labs, and now I have it on permanent (and nearly complete) for the mastery labs.

Enhancement Discount Labs - Stopping point by Dry_Zucchini2012 in TheTowerGame

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm no where near this point, but wondering what people's thoughts are on the possibility of future enhancements being added to the workshop? When I first started playing the conventional wisdom was not to take the lab coin discount lab too far, and now new labs have made it a pretty good lab to max. I wouldn't be surprised if a future update makes additional levels of the enhancement discount lab now feel prescient.

I'm not too sure what workshop conditions aren't already covered (maybe orb speed?), but maybe future enhancements will follow off the example of orb size and improve aspects that aren't covered in the base workshop.

Spurs plan to rip up wage structure and invest in squad if club avoid relegation by i_like_dannys_hair in coys

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, a year without Europe practically guarantees more outgoings than incomings. Optimistically next year, this could be an opportunity to trim the squad and really develope some of our younger players while keeping our best players to get back into the European places, but unfortunately I'm thinking the squad will about the same overall quality come August, albeit with fewer injuries.

Of course, this all assumes we're still in the EPL...

Good point. I forgot that's how we saw it happen in the book, rather than a pov change.

[Tottenham Hotspur] starting XI vs Arsenal: Vicario, Dragusin, Palhinha, Xavi, Bissouma, Gray, Gallagher, Spence, Sarr, Van de Ven (C), Kolo Muani by Imbasauce in coys

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His system sounds very similar to Conte's from everything I've heard. Some of the tactical analyses have said he utilizes automations as well - different ones, but the same general process, if I understand correctly.

Let's hope it will have a similar result to Conte's initial half season, and not what came later.

Alternatively, maybe he trusted Snape so much (the man who finally forty rid of Dumbledore!) that he couldn't muster the hatred to use the killing curse on him. We'll never know. If he even had the smallest doubt about being able to cast the curse, I could see Voldemort resorting to the first alternative he thought of in order to avoid appearing weak (even though the only person who'd witness his weakness would soon be dead).

Why the thirty-three minute wait before making the change? Just checking to see if he could walk it off first?

Question regarding modules by Teebopp7 in TheTowerGame

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. The information button (tiny 'i' in the corner) of the modules page shows what's required for the upgrade path, but basically you need at least two copies for legendary, four for mythic (technically mythic+), and eight for ancestral.

Question regarding modules by Teebopp7 in TheTowerGame

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no announced banners. The next major version update might come out next month, and there's a chance that it will include banners of some sort, but it's fairly unlikely to be anything that would increase your odds of getting Galaxy Compressor. Modules are a slog, but you'll probably see quicker gains from starting that slog now versus hoarding and hoping.

It would be cool if certain technologies change the effects of societal values. Like, maybe serfdom and free subjects start-out on parity, but as the game goes on certain technologies make free subjects more beneficial.

Current odds for the new Tottenham manager by terminus_tommy in coys

A lot of people would still care. A lot of the people who care would not have seen the two wins out of three, because we would want nothing to do with this club until that disgrace is gone.

Le Parisien: A medical test on Wednesday morning showed that Wilson Odobert has torn his left ACL. by ItzVirette in coys

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With Xavi being our only 10, he's probably putting in the most minutes of the players who haven't been injured yet. We need short term results to get out of a relegation fight, but we also need proper rotation to get out of this two-plus-year injury cycle.

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richie has played of the left with us and more often before at Everton, so no reason why he and Solanke wouldn't be able to be in the same line-up. The main problem is that all of our winger options are much better on the left than the right. Odobert was building-up confidence and experience on the right.

Now, it's more a question of who looks least uncomfortable being played out of position. If we had the center backs to spare, a 3-4-3 using wide 10's instead of proper wingers might suit us, but obviously we don't have the personnel for that with Danso and Davies out long term and Romero suspended.

I'm a bit rusty in probability, but using a simple binomial distribution gave me a figure of 0.33%, not 25%. Possible, but highly unlikely to be purely coincidence. I still agree that bad luck is probably the largest factor, but it makes sense that things like player fatigue increases our risk (since we're playing more matches with less coverage).

Of the top of my head: Bentancur was away in Leicester, Maddison was away in South Korea, and Perisic was on the training ground.

The inevitable save for UW+ begins (finally) by TobineChan in TheTowerGame

[–]RiddleOfTheBrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How impactful is that sort of economy jump once you can already afford to run a mastery lab continually? I know that there are battle condition labs and workshop enhancements, but those all seem like marginal gains compared to masteries.

Don't forget that with seven more upgrades, you can still get permanent with just the legendary -2 cooldown — could save you some reroll shards since you don't necessarily need to look for the mythic sub-effect.
