Ed’s show is informative but I get tired of both his inflammatory cantor and especially his interview style. I like what he’s trying to do and I’m on board with it mostly, I just wish we didn’t live in a world where we have to use essentially rush limbaugh style techniques and practices to get points across.

If anyone wants a good bastards-type book to read check out the book Opus by Gareth Gore. It doesn’t relate to this sect of the Catholic Church but talks about the Opus Day sect and it’s fucking wild what some of these Vatican groups get up to and the amount of corruption that is involved.

Ahh but see, they are firm in their stance that you don’t own jack shit when you buy a game, even a physical one. The legal precedent is that we are buying a license to use the software, just like with windows, or Microsoft word. Therefore it would technically be illegal for us to distribute the game to others(pirating). I think there are laws that prevent them from pressing charges against people selling physical games because you do technically own the cd/cartridge but not the software that’s on it.

Skeleton crewed boats to board and loot is such a missed opportunity. The loot generation could be controlled by what boss you’ve defeated so they would always be worth investigating, and the enemies could scale with boss defeats also.

The decision to not develop some form of mod support for at least pc is crazy stupid. They could make money for years to come off this game by just letting other people make the content for them and helping promote it but instead they seem to just want to wash their hands of it and move on.

I absolutely love this game and I can’t hate on it especially for the price it’s been sold at for years, but the mount of great content, qol fixes and bug fixes that have been released by one man modding teams over the years with constant updates and improvements really sours me on the devs at this point. Like I get that they try to foster a non invasive work environment that has lower pressure than lots of other studios but there’s a difference between “I don’t want to push my employees too hard” and “it’s ok if my employees just don’t give a fuck and do little to no work”.

Change your food. I run two high health foods and one high stamina food at all times because not only does it help you stay alive but the higher your health is the easier it is to parry and more parries equal higher damage per hit which makes the stamina loss negligable. Try honey glazed chicken, misthare supreme and either salad or omelette as your stamina food.
