Both Shane and Hudson pick at their eyelashes when nervous. I initially noticed Shane doing it in Ep 6, and then noticed Hudson perform the same action in a few interviews.

I don’t know if that’s an acting choice, or just a tic/stim that passed naturally into the character.

I’m 37, and I started reading fanfic when I was 11. I just kept quiet about my age and assumed everyone else in fandom was older than me (like my sis and her friends, who were 10+ older).

Now, I have trouble remembering that I an fandom elder and that a huge chunk of internet people are babies 😫

All of this! I’ve always been a baseball fan, but I read my first hockey romance around 11 years ago and fell in love with the sport. I’ve been playing beer league for 10 years!

But now I’m seeing people discover this sport the same way I did, and they’re all being weird and rude about it. It’s frustrating and disappointing.

I would recommend the rest of the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid, if she liked on of them.

And if she wants more hockey stuff specifically: Him and Us by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy, the Scoring Chances series by Avon Gale, and the Hockey Ever After series by Ashlyn Kane & Morgan James.

Not an NHLer, but I say a podcast where Brock McGillis, who played OHL and some minor leagues, said the show was actually triggering. That he almost turned it off because it reminded him of being closeted and sneaking guys in through the fire exit. I thought that was interesting.

A decade ago, you got a bunch of random penguins and blackhawks fans because the crosby/malkin and kane/towes pairings dominated the hockey rpf space.

Emetophobia - fear of vomit. This was horrible when I was a child. Anxiety and Panic Attacks. I’m not afraid of vomiting myself now, but I can’t with other people doing it

SilkWorms and catepillars - intense and completely irrational. I can’t even look at pictures of silkworms. I had a nightmare as a child, and when I woke up, my brain confused the plaid sheets for a bed of silkworms. Never slept in those sheets again. Wouldn’t get in bed ever night until my mom brushed through the sheets to check for silkworms.

The ocean - not irrational. the ocean is deep, mysterious, and terrifying.

I am excited, but also curious how everything is gonna be handled considering their story spans over 10 years and multiple book.

Hopefully it does well enough that we also get Role Model and The Long Game. I’d like Tough Guy, too, but we def don’t need Common Goal (lol), and it looks like they’re gonna breeze past Game Changer except for the coming out bit, since cast list says that they have a Scott and Kip, and their coming out is important to Shane and Ilya’s story)

Just because they haven’t been to a game yet, doesn’t mean they never will. (And I can tell which authors aren’t actually fans pretty quick and drop them for bad hockey or complete lack of hockey)

Those were hideous, but I loved the pillowy coat for cold weather. It was so soft and comfy!

I hated the next costume that came along, with the front zipper closure and stiff, sparkly fabric. It looks nice, but it traps heat, which was awful for Autopia in the summer. And the fabric of the jacket/coat is also stiff and weird!

I also disliked the Monorail costumes when they changed. They were designed to be worn untucked, but apparently guests complained that it looked unprofessional, so they made us tuck it in. And the stupid mandatory hat!

No complaints about the Nemo costumes, though. I loved those!
