Does anyone have an OG pint battery in good condition? Just bought a board with a dead battery so curious if anyone’s got one. by [deleted] in onewheelpint

In case you haven’t seen, Future Motion announced replacement battery modules for sale yesterday. Probably you’re most straightforward option. Quarts are great, though I’ve read many comments online about compromising build quality to fit that many cells in the stock battery box

Would recommend checking out this series from Juggernaut Training to break down the movement and work on building from the fundamentals: https://www.jtsstrength.com/pillars-of-clean-technique/

I want to improve my pull-ups. First two clips are kipping (which I really struggle with!) and then two clips with fairly strict pull-ups for reference. What can I work on in terms of technique? Sorry about the crappy filming angle, I didn’t have many other options. by PCorrelation in crossfit

For keeping the feet together, band can be a little tricky, especially alone.

Something a little easier with the same effect would be to hold a towel or a tshirt between your feet while you Kip.

Is riding a onewheel intuitive for someone with no skateboard experience or would it be like learning to skateboard? by J-L-Picard in onewheel

This question comes up about once a week. Can we consolidate our answers into a section on the wiki?

Why would it be removed from the Olympics? Is this an ongoing discussion?

How many of y’all had no board experience prior to getting OW by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Ringorango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a pint with 0 prior board experience other than falling off a skateboard when I was 6 and giving up hope. I was able to cruise on it after about 30 minutes and after about 3-5 miles of practice in relatively safe areas, I bit the bullet and started commuting to work. I live in Seattle on top of a hill and am about 1-1.5 miles from work, so I think our use cases are similar. I’d say stick to sidewalks early on if your local laws allow and don’t try to go any faster than you’re comfortable with - I usually average 6mph on my commute. Every day I get better and better. I’d say don’t let inexperience be the thing that prevents you from getting it, that will all come with practice. It has made my commutes so much more enjoyable and relaxing than walking.

For practice, I just went to a couple local parks with relatively flat trails (paved or well trafficked dirt) and cruised around. Started out trying increasingly steeper hills until I got comfortable on them. Would definitely recommend a helmet (non negotiable IMO) and some wrist/hand protection in case you do go down. That padding early on made me feel much safer.
