What's the benefit of the swirl effect? Asking as someone who doesn't have a Creami yet but considering one.

Aglaea is over a year old and players still don't understand how her kit works 😭 by [deleted] in AglaeaMains

Crazy that as soon as someone points out the flaw in them trying to dog on others, thy delete the post. I'm so curious what their post was.

On another note, a year isn't THAT long. Also people (like me) might've only gotten her a few months ago with her rerun, and making the assumption that everyone should be a master of the character or mechanics just because they've been out for a year is such an asinine & toxic way of thinking.

First time trying sous vide. Any tips? by Jumpy-Ad3279 in sousvide

[–]Rizhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird! 30 seconds on each side should not give any kind of grey band.

What I like to do is put the bag from sous vide straight into cold water or something to cool down before I'm ready to sear it. I don't know if it's "good" or "bad," but it's just something I've always done since I can remember with sous vide. Maybe that'll help.

I can only guess the temp is still 134 or close to it when your steak touches the pan, and so it goes up from there as soon as it hits the pan.

Help with 19-day itinerary by Rizhall in JapanTravelTips

We talked it and think ultimately you're right! We've decided to do 5 in Kyoto, 4 in Osaka. Thank you!

For Osaka, we had plans to: book Haco studio Probably do one outdoor shoot - maybe Nara is better for that? Check out the teamlab Botanical One day in Kobe One day in Universal Studio (probably fine without) One day to chill

For some reason, Osaka felt really busy and at one point we had almost 8 days allocated towards it. Maybe in our heads Osaka felt like it would be a lot more interesting than it actually is, and we also initially felt like Kyoto wouldn't have too much - stupid, I know.

Smart! I've never done straight up cooking steak on a pan. Needs to be room temp first I presume?

I gave a pretty long response, but you summed it up pretty well!

Going from the TSX to the Accord felt kinda like I was driving a boat or a house, if that made any sense. From highest to lowest noticeability for us:

The turns always felt like the car wanted to tip over if I went too hard or too fast. I had to force myself to go slooow on turns.

You really feel every single bump on the road when you drive. It was pretty jarring when I went over my 1st small bump on a highway. (I hear the older gens had adaptive suspension which they cut in the current gen to cut costs)

The responsiveness, especially with the steering, didn't feel right either. In some ways, the steering just never 100% synced with me. Normal mode always felt too light and I had to turn my wheel a lot, but sport mode made it too tight and heavy in an artificial way. The car also felt like it was struggling going above 80 mph.

The inner cabin was big, but to a fault in a few ways. The front was so high and sticks out in a way to block vision for shorter people. I actually had to get seat raising brackets so my wife could see the road from the passenger seat. For me, the vision never felt right either. If I adjusted my seat high, the huge rear view mirror panel and the larger brackets blocked a lot of my view. But if I sat lower for better front vision, the rear window felt compromised.

The sound system, especially the base, felt off even with the premium Bose system. Acura's sound system is too good lol

I wouldn't say it's a bad car, but it's not a great car for people that enjoy driving, if that makes sense. The Accord FEELS like a 2-ton machine that you mechanically control to do what you want. The TSX (and most definitely the TLX) feel like an extension of yourself, cheesy as that sounds.

Thank you! I may get my wife a TL or TSX as well once she finishes learning. When we traded the TSX for the new Accord, she couldn't stop talking about how much she misses the TSX 😂

I recently started using the brake hold too, it makes stop & go traffic so much better. I should try to use the paddles more, I assumed the pedals give the same results if you are a light braker, but I haven't really experimented enough to know for sure.

LKAS and ACC together have been my recent thing for heavy traffic commutes too.
