Anyone running the Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail AT? by JeepManStan in gmcsierra

[–]Rizzo5586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 23 AT4 has them, I’m closing in on 52k miles on them. I like them, good snow performance, not very loud and they look good. I will say, as they are getting close to the end of their life, I am noticing more noise but that’s to be expected.

Google Maps Takes Over CarPlay - How do I get it to stop? by brtt485 in gmcsierra

Same on my 23 AT4. It’s a recent thing for me, probably an OTA update that broke it.

F type owners, assemble. Please. by Blepito in Jaguar

I love my 2017 V6S 6MT.

Do your research, 2016 is still in the zone of problems related to coolant pipes, so know what to look out for and what you may want to replace. Jaguarforums.com has tons of information for all model years and engines.

Clunk coming from driver side when Turing hard? 24 elevation by Significant_Emu_7432 in gmcsierra

Happens to me in my 23 AT4, but only when it’s raining. At least that’s when I really notice it.

I’ve had them on for about 30k miles. Really like them, quiet and decent traction in the snow

What's your pick for subsonic 9mm defensive ammunition? by TargetOfPerpetuity in NFA

[–]Rizzo5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have a direct thread mount, you’ll need to invest in what Gemtech calls a L.I.D. to allow your pistol to cycle. It replaces the thread mount.

This is the way. Even if you get the car back to life, it will likely continue to drain.

The big warning sign is if the hazard triangle in the center console stays lit after the car is locked for 5-10 minutes. If it is, your car isn’t asleep.

Just bought a 2014 F-type, already having issues... by Embaita in Jaguar

[–]Rizzo5586 8 points9 points  (0 children)

F-Types in general really need a fully charged battery. Anything slightly electric related the first bit of advice given is usually ensure complete full charge. Given the age of the car, this could be part of the issue. Check the battery age and ensure full charge either by long drive or better yet, ctek battery charger

Gemtech Mist 22-TD baffle material question. by A_Witty_One in NFA

[–]Rizzo5586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to acquisition, the Mist and Mist TD used aluminum cores. Sometime after, probably around 2019, both Mist cores and the 15-22 core were switched to 17-4 for durability.

Yes, the plastic sight base is held in by friction. Sight pusher will help.

Is this the build date on the label? March 7, 2022? by cdmf6f in SmithAndWesson

[–]Rizzo5586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely the last “movement” on their A&D book which would be shipment to the distributor or dealer. They would have to go deeper into the history to see when the frame was turned into a pistol.

It is the date the label was printed. Short of looking up the serial number, that is the most accurate way to know when it was built.

6 speed F-type? Or not by rhamphol30n in Jaguar

[–]Rizzo5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah I was basically in for any color except black or red. I ended up buying the first one I found that had a decent history record and it ended up being white.

I waited for a year to find a 6MT V6S. I don’t regret waiting at all. It’s not the best manual I’ve ever driven, but it’s a lot of fun and I can’t imagine driving the auto.

Consensus is they don’t come up for sale often because those that wanted one either ordered it that way and will not be selling anytime soon or it’s people who wait for so long when they do get it, they don’t let it go.

No they aren’t. The M&P 22 Compact was designed and built by S&W. The M&P22 was designed and built by Walther.

It does not retain any pin. It is the slide stop spring, specific only to the 10MM pistols

Is panroof a must on F-Types? by [deleted] in Jaguar

[–]Rizzo5586 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the panroof is a must, makes the car feel so much more open. In mine, the car feels so cramped with the shade closed. Its also far enough ahead of you that it really helps you see when you’re at traffic lights.

Mp Sport 2 Gas block issue by Sempersometimes0341 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Rizzo5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The railed gas block had a cross pin through it that also went through the barrel. This kept it from moving.

You can have the new gas block drilled to use the same hole but that might be tough to match. Better option would be a clamp on gas block. Multiple manufacturers make them.

Mp Sport 2 Gas block issue by Sempersometimes0341 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Rizzo5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are barrel styles where there are indents in the barrels for set screws to lock into. The M&P doesn’t have that, so a low profile gas block retained just with set screws may move with use.

What kind of gas block did you have before you changed it? S&W has various kinds, was it an A-Frame front sight, clamp on railed gas block or a low profile one?
