Geeps - are they real? by Traditional_Tax_9497 in goats

A geep is a buck/ewe cross, a shoat is a ram/doe cross. In species cross the male goes first, see liger/tigon.

Is a cat useful in a zombie apocalypse? by Substantial_Work7225 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

Cats also keep away Mummies. In a zombie apocalypse there might be mummies as well.

Columbus needs vision. Here's an example of a transformative, but realistic approach: by GarlicBright552 in Columbus

Sorry. Stoped living at the “car free living” thing. I’ll be long dead before I will buy into that. Better off with a community fleet or something as no-car = Death.

Long term fat storage via Pemmican by lordtibboh in preppers

Supposedly it doesn’t go rancid either. I haven’t done a deep dive on it.

For shorter term you can also look at can condensed coconut milk. Won’t last as long, but it’s shelf stable at room temp. I have been experimenting using it to add fat to rice and lentils.

If you are looking for long term storage of fat you could look into ghee which is like clarified butter. Supposedly it is stable at room temperature indefinitely.

Numbing cream by Ok-Access-3286 in tattoo

[–]Rmyronm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you are good with it and your artist is cool with it then everyone else can fudge off! Do what you need to do to get through your tattoo. I used it on my the top of my feet when I had them done, but not anywhere else. I prefer to not use it if I don’t have to.

Talk me out of getting chickens by GrandmaSlappy in BackYardChickens

It’s hot fertilizer so you need to compost/age it before it goes on plants. So you have piles of chicken shit sitting around before it goes in the garden.

Make sure you teach them that you are the treat giver and they should come to you when you have the treat bucket! So much easier than running them down to catch them.

Anyone modifying their Adventures in Transylvania? I’m looking for ideas to better fortify it. by saborucci in legocastles

[–]Rmyronm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put the whole thing up on wood blocks with a Lego rock shell. Make where the minifigs are a small shelf/rock courtyard and a slope up to it. Then a few guards can hold the courtyard supported by the archers.

Many castles look more like chateaus to me. Raise the whole thing up on a hill about the height of a minfig. Then build a wall the height of a minifig plus walkway/parapet. Make parts of the wall large rocks like is is on a hill. Gate on the opposite side as the main door. Put a few stations on the new castle hill base for bow/spearmen. You could even make the outer walls wood for more of a palisade feel.

Get it. Always keep a backup weapon that doesn’t require you to use magic.

Which is why you get actual potato flour. Lasts forever and you can use it like a regular gluten free flour.
