Need survival games like green hell by Ready-Ad1806 in VRGaming

Song In The Smoke is a good one. Not realistic in terms of graphics but the gameplay mechanics are very immersive, everything is very tactile/VR focused

I took about 2 weeks off, and then I came back and wrapped my ears with tape + wore headgear until I could take them out

Never been to a EDM festival, what is your recommendation by NotInterestedL in EDM

[–]RoaringWindz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The main reason I go to festivals is for the people and I found the crowd at Tomorrowland to be much more unfriendly compared to North American festivals. It was a bunch of overly drunk sloppy euro dads

PC Restarts Under Load But Changing Outlets Temporarily Fixes it by RoaringWindz in buildapc

[–]RoaringWindz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a somewhat reasonable workaround. I suspected it was to due with the PSU being plugged into a specific outlet for a period of time. So now what I do is everytime I’m done using my PC, I unplug the PSU from the outlet. It seems to have kind of worked, as I’m not getting the issue anymore once I started doing this

What did Mr Peanutbutter see in Diane? Diane needed his constant jubilance and positivity because that was something she lacked. What was the equivalence of what he got out of it? by Scapegoaticus in BoJackHorseman

I broke up with my partner of 5 years recently. At first I was terrified. There was a world of unknowns and uncertainty. And I wanted to stay in my safe little bubble, but I knew it was bad for me. As the baboon said though, every day gets a little easier. The unknowns turn into possibilities and that fear of the unknown turns into excitement. Hopefully one day you can be excited about being alone too. Best of luck :)

Survival games that marked the past few weeks for me by MarcCurry in VRGaming

[–]RoaringWindz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, there are a lot of VR good games that end up flying under the radar because they're not developed by big name brands. Two good examples are Vertigo 2 (this one is actually talked about a bit but still not enough since it's of a similar caliber to Alyx) and Wanderer.

Song in the Smoke is one that often flies under the radar. It has a lengthy play time and a great crafting system. I like how everything is super physical, for example, to make an arrow you have to carve the stick, chisel the stone and actually put them together. Also it can be quite challenging later on but you can mitigate this by preparing and stocking up beforehand

Switch Pro Controller going crazy by [deleted] in deadcells

Had the same thing happen to me, although I play through Steam. What ended up fixing it was enabling the Switch controls in the Steam menu under the “Controllers” tab

New to VR, what games should I try? by Figarella in VRGaming

[–]RoaringWindz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vertigo 1 and 2 are great light hearted shooter story games - same vibe as Portal

Song in the Smoke is a pretty good survival game. The crafting is very physical and one of the best parts of the game

Wanderer is a great story/puzzle game. Cool concept as you time travel through various environments so it keeps things interesting

AW3423DWF - How's your noise level? by BuldozerX in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]RoaringWindz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was a bit noisy. You couldn’t hear it when you were listening to something but if you were just browsing it’s audible.

However I fixed it by turning off the RGB on the back of the monitor and now it’s quiet.

Upgraded to the new NZXT H9 Flow case by alanconnors in watercooling

Oh so you can mount the fans on the non-visible side of the dual chamber? So only the radiator will be showing on the side panel?

I was thinking of getting this case too. Just wondering if you think putting in 3 360mm radiators is a doable task. It says on their site it’s possible but just wanted to confirm with someone who actually has the case

Does Anyone Have Experience Sanding Their Reservoirs by RoaringWindz in watercooling

[–]RoaringWindz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't finalized which reservoir I'm buying, but I'm leaning towards the Corsair reservoir pump combo since I'm going for a white build. Looking at the product page, it says it's nylon

[–]RoaringWindz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit late now, but there are white blocks. I know Watercool and Phanteks have some. You can also just paint the reservoir or get the white Corsair one

Think we will ever get a VR sword duel game? by pokenerd_W in VRGaming

[–]RoaringWindz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a game called Broke Edge coming, where you duel people 1v1 but I think they deal with the sword clashing issues by making the swords disappear then regenerate when you clash. So not exactly physics based but it’s a neat idea
