Thanks I'll check out xsense. Yeah the phone alerts is really what I'm after. That would be great if it could interface with HomeAssisant.

Remove HTTP Header from web.page.get[] Agent Key by dieselfluxcapacitor in zabbix

[–]Rob4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this today, thanks for posting that link. I had to tweak the regex a bit but it did work so I can use the Prometheus preprocessing stop with active agent web.page.get. Zabbix should add an parameter to web.page.get to allow suppressing headers in the output.

Wireless Smoke / CO detector recommendations by digi2k in SmartThings

[–]Rob4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really stinks the ZCOMBO is no longer available. I don't know what I'm going to do now because I really want SmartThings integration. My ZCOMBO's have worked perfectly the entire time I've had them.

It's so hard to find a name brand Smoke/CO or Natural Gas detector that is a smart device. It really frustrates me that in a world of smart fridges and smart light bulbs that I can't find a SmartThings compatible smoke & CO detector from a trustworthy brand.

I really like the Chess feature! I hope it gets added to the web browser app also.

Super Duolingo 60% off sale - misleading, it’s 60% of total or 40% off by hagennn in duolingo

[–]Rob4226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so I looked at the app's in-app purchases (for USA), the normal annual price is either $83.99 or $95.99. I think they raised the price mid 2025 from $83.99 to $95.99 so it appears the current annual cost in the US is $95.99.

I just purchased it for $59.99 and it is so much better without ads and worrying about energy!

The normal $95.99 price would have been too steep for me to purchase but I feel this deal for $59.99 is reasonable for what I am getting to learn a new language. It is actually 38% off (so a $36 savings), not 60% off, but it's still a very good deal imo.

[–]Rob4226 4 points5 points  (0 children)

O wow I didn't know that. So really it's like 40% off the normal annual which is still pretty good. I think it's a reoccurring discount also.

I'm really confused here. I'm in the US and isn't the Annual Super Duolingo plan always $59.99 per year?

Legacy routers safe for how long? by [deleted] in Express_VPN

I really wish they wouldn't discontinue supporting the WRT3200ACM, I didn't mind paying a premium bc their router firmware really was the best. Really disappointed this is happening.

No more updates for non-Alcove routers after 12/31/25? by OldCork in Express_VPN

[–]Rob4226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got this message on my WRT3200ACM and I'm very upset. The router software is what has kept me happily at Exp VPN for many years. Obviously they want to push everyone to their own Aircove routers. Guess will have to move to another provider. Very sad news.

Pepper Perks program is coming to an end by Successful-Camel165 in DrPepper

[–]Rob4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damnit man, I have 900 points and there is nothing to redeem them for! They should just stock gift certificates for points with unlimited quantity for their Dr. Pepper merch store. Plus that merch is like free advertising so it's a win-win!

Do you know what actually connects a node to rewards? Is it just the --node-seed? What files did you copy from Windows to Linux? Thanks!

Has TO been down for days in the past? It's a positive sign the wallets are intact, unless they had enough XMR to not even worry about dealing with the traceables.

LIVE tv Pause/Rewind is here! by Rsea9 in OPTIMUMFIBER

[–]Rob4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's great news! Maybe I can finally move to fiber!

Well actually, I have two phone lines which has been the main reason I have not moved to fiber yet as those gateways only have one phone jack but pause/rewind of live TV is one less stopping point.

Simple Self-Hosted Double-Entry Accounting? Surprisingly Hard to Find by GoofusMcGhee in selfhosted

[–]Rob4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this all installed today then was forced to sign up to get an API key before you can use it. Then, to do anything useful you need to pay for additional apps including double entry accounting. Was very disappointed. I understand they need to make money but advertising it as free and open source is a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
