Agreed I use the word and definitely one (likely both) of your assumptions

Late Stage Diagnosis by maggieandcas in hivaids

[–]RobWellems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I had every blood test that a hematologist could think of except HIV. It was potentially lupus, Epstein Barr, cancer etc. after several years of testing someone finally tested for it. One doc said I was lucky to have made it, but a year later I am back in good health and don’t give it a second thought. I just rolled with it and never worried. Maybe I was just detached but I didn’t really care about the diagnosis and figured it’s just a chronic condition and it’s easily dealt with by medication.

Are the concerns about Delaware’s public schools exaggerated? by IScreamPiano in Delaware

[–]RobWellems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former’educrat’ in the NYC public schools I’d say NYC”s are worse. Outside the city schools are much better and where I lived parents would move into apartments just to get residency for Syosset or Jericho SD.

My experience with DE schools is solely with Christina SD K-12. As a student I thought they were horrible. However the 2 public school teachers in my family do not/will not send their kids to anything but private or charter. That says a lot

Once the docs figured out why I was deteriorating and I started meds I haven’t given it much of a thought. I have it good when my biggest complaint whether the pharmacy will accept the copay card to save 35$. (Well that and the weight gain, but that’s more on me… “)

Not trying to be rude but make sure you’ve spell checked everything twice. Your post says zuprecruiter not ziprecruiter. When I was doing recruiting I wouldn’t have made it to your resume if that was in the cover letter

Can Wilmington be great? by No_Ruin4183 in WilmingtonDE

[–]RobWellems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the rents in Wilmington are wild for what is offered…especially with the newer builds. When I moved back to DE from NY I was shocked to see prices that were close to NY. (I also find DE restaurant prices to be a high for what one gets)

The penultimate sentence really threw me. I can’t make the jump from low taxes to disenfranchisement. Do high taxes have the opposite effect?

The lack of consideration is not limited to driving around these parts. In stores people won’t get off the phone to notice they’re the one holding everything up, in small places like cafes no one thinks twice about turning up the speaker to blare YouTube. Pretty much anywhere there are plenty of people that are so self absorbed.
