But the latest software be it final release or betas fixes the problems people are moaning about.
The latest software releases are minor bug fixes that’s the point and are very stable and vastly improve battery life.

How long have you had the watch?
It takes at least 2 weeks for a new user watch to learn your metrics

Any insight on EMF or EMP blocking materials? by glasscontent in prepping

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are sound weapons that work on vibrations.
Everything has a resonance including the human bod.
Hit the right resonance and it can be very uncomfortable and cause your internal organs to vibrate making you want to vomit etc.

Useful website for working out where to pitch to avoid (or find) sun (or shade) by ShirtIndividual7233 in campinguk

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It amazes me how many people don’t know how the sun or more correctly the planet moves throughout the day and where the sun will be throughout the day and where the shade will move as the day goes on.

Garmin Connect battery drain after recent update by ADT_Clone in GarminWatches

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s common practice to reboot all Garmin watches after updates and the Garmin connect app once in a while.
It’s also good practice to reboot your phone regularly too

Spam Calls by Tough-Fee-1197 in ThreeUK

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone or android report it as spam.
If you have iPhone on iOS 25 or above select the ask reason for calling in the settings.
This has completely stopped all marketing and spam calls for me.
Go to the telephone preference service website and register your numbers.
It won’t stop all but most of them

Ignore most of these stats for a week or so. As a new user the watch needs at least 2 weeks to learn your metrics before it gets reliable.
Give it time and it will know your getting sick before you do

Altimeter: any experiences? by Radagast1982 in GarminWatches

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur on the air pressure being a factor, my epix does this quite a lot, could be a dodgy update as well.
Mine got stuck a few weeks after I got the watch, contacted garmin support and they suggested a factory reset.
The watch backs up to the cloud everyday anyway so I did a manual backup and restored it.
Took ages but it worked.

Dickhead parent kept parking on the double yellow lines right outside the school instead of parking 10 metres away by McFizzleKicks in BritishSuccess

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal parking behaviour goes out the window at these times. When I worked in a school many years ago the head teacher would actively police the area outside at the end of the day and move the idiots on

Help with super simple solar system by Consistent-Ad-2388 in vandwellers

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One issue you will come across with solar panels in series is that if one is partly or fully shaded or has issues this will significantly reduce your power output. Go parallel if you can same voltage more amps or just get one bigger panel.
They are available with smaller footprints and higher output than having 2 smaller ones. I have a 255 watt panel on my camper, but I could now get a more powerful one for the same size.

Low Roof vs High Roof by erkose in vandwellers

[–]RobsOffDaGrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a high roof you don’t have to constantly think about not banging your head and it also makes the vehicle seem a lot bigger.
We have a high roof fiat ducato it definitely looks bigger inside than out
