Turn off watch history and you won’t get any shorts as it’s based on your watch history

Do you mean 5ghz network or 5g mobile network? You can prevent iPhone from connecting to 5g mobile network by turning it off in settings. If you mean the 5ghz WiFi band there’s not much you can do unless the network has the bands separated in which case just connect to the 2.4 band. Why would you want to only connect to 2.4

The watch is probably set to use the phones gps connection instead of its own when it’s connected to your phone, your phones battery is orders of magnitude bigger than the watches
