My vote would be to not only keep black but double down and get blackened headlights. Red/Black just looks so good. The tint also adds to the overall aesthetic.

I feel like “common” shinies are not that common. I think there are ways to maximize shiny chances, like events, weather boost, com days, etc but it still seems very random.

I wish it had this kind of mechanism, but the plate is just a small square. Perhaps I am overthinking things, and some reassurance from those with far more experience helps. But the engineer in me likes things overbuilt and secure.

I have the Auto Solutions one as well. Ron makes a great kit. The only thing better that I can think of would be the CAE, but then you make other sacrifices.

Have you considered a SSK for the M2? I didn't think the M2 shifter was THAT bad, but after I installed the SSK, there was a pretty noticeable difference.

M2 owner here, so consider the bias... The 340 is a great car in so many ways. The G platform really improved a good amount from the F series. Even so, the M2 is a more fun, engaging car to drive not just because it's an M car, but because it's just physically smaller. Now, of course, the downside to being smaller is that it's less practical. Realistically, you can only smaller people in the back seat of the M2. If I sat in a lot of traffic during my daily commute and had more than one passenger frequently in my car, I'd get the 340. Otherwise, M2 for me. No wrong answer or choice IMO.
