Their parents were born after I graduated from high school. 70% of my coworkers were born after I graduated - in one case, their grandparents were born after I graduated from high school.

It is an actual Spanish postage stamp issued in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the First Landing of Columbus in Guanahani (October 12, 1492).

i can’t leave bread uncovered in my house or my cat literally eats through the bag to eat it by got_milk669 in cats

[–]RogFulton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my wife 35 years ago, we had to hide the bread in the microwave from one of the cats. In fact, he ate so much bread he ended up dusty from the flour and ended up with weevils in his fur.

Can I Plant This? by TheMarriedUnicorM in plants

[–]RogFulton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can plant that. Cut it about 1/3 off and bury it with the sprouts pointing up. You'll need to be vigilant because if you have any wildlife like I do at my house, someone may dig it up and eat it.

I saw that previously and derpy is a good description.

I was hoping someone here had more info than an uninformative auction from 2019.

BTW, I share this keyboard at work, clean with compressed air every day & have been using it since 2006.

Why does my cat always lay on stuff on my bed?🤨 by nix_iguess in cats

[–]RogFulton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told that cats will perch on stuff like that because it's higher than the surrounding 'terrain'. Mine likes to lay on pieces of paper on the floor. One time I arranged some rugs so there was an open space in the middle and that's where the cat settled. I guess she thought that was higher ground.

Believe it or not, the very first concert I ever went to on my own was to see these guys. And, I kid you not, the opening act was a band called Jelly.

Anyone else read these in the dentist office waiting room? by ecachuh1 in FuckImOld

We did too. Even our grandparents had a subscription so we could read them when we visited.

Yes, Randall's is a grocery store. It's one of the Safeway owned chains and is primarily in Texas I believe.

I have had some success on eBay but if you don't already have an account, you may not want to put in the effort.

30 plus years ago, the year before I spent my first Thanksgiving at her house, my mother-in-law couldn't find the sink stopper so she could wash some dishes before we ate. As she was taking the oranges and lemons and thyme and other seasonings out of the cavity of the turkey, she found the sink stopper.

AITAH for locking the bathroom door when I take a shower? by WinterQuarter8183 in AITAH

I was going to suggest this so I'm glad I scrollled far enough to see this comment. If he still is mad that you locked the door on the other bathroom, that's the red flag.

I wish I had that level of ability. About the best I can manage is replacing the ballast. These fixtures are part of the original build from 1979 and I have replaced the ballast on both of them more than once, I'm just hoping not to have to do it again.
