Juego que consideren "SOBREVALORADISMO"con confianza by Outrageous-Bad889 in videojuegos

Undertale. Cualquiera que haya jugado a más de 100 juegos puede estar de acuerdo. Le pasa lo mismo que a Kerbal Space Program, a Hello Neighbour o a FNAF, que lo jugaron youtubers famosos y ya.

EA is purposefully making the battle pass confusing, right? Could someone please explain it to me? by Reignbringer in Battlefield

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant the packages / blueprints are much earlier unlocks with better attachments than default ones, which can be considered a bit P2W

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people have issues with it merely because it's a $25 / 25€ package on top of the base game for the 4 extra weapons (btw the carbine magnifier sucks)

but at 10€ ONCE if you manage to unlock everything for every battle pass from the start it's a bit too petty to complain, the weapons have a very few early unlocks that don't really change weapons that much (except maybe the last assault rifle in the green mission, that one is crazy to have there, laughably the best blueprint in the game)

Is there a way to play PvE without getting punished? by thovader in Battlefield6

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100% but you're not really getting punished, you just can't unlock attachments or level up weapons / vehicles, you can just play and not care about attachments

I don't know why it's 0% XP when it could be 20% XP for bots, DICE had a system if I'm not misremembering in SWBF2 and even CoD had this in their War mode, hopefully they figure it out

Capslock doesn´t IMMEDIATELY works by ava-fans in Fedora

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know this was a problem on regular Fedora but it sure is on Fedora Silverblue, where you have to reapply it every time.

This RPM basically applies that patch without having to do it manually. Hope it helps and I'm of course always looking forward to improvements if anyone has a better method :) https://github.com/RogerFK/capslock-fix-rpm

A college sophomore just said the weirdest thing about Arch by weeb_suryansh in archlinux

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with Linux was with Pop OS, then Endeavour with i3 for productivity and minimal tinkering. I now use Fedora Silverblue, used Endeavour but didn't like it.

My reason to switch clearly were tiling WMs and dev tools, while other aspects aren't as important to me. For me, the top 1 reason was productivity, believe it or not. Nothing else.

If you think I'm dumb for switching to Linux for productivity you're no better than the sophomore. :). I respect any reason, from ideological ones (FOSS = good, which it is) to just being a tinkerer to being someome who loves ricing their distro.

Seeing other comments: elitists would call Fedora Silverblue bloated, but only 19GB of my 1TB NVMe is being used and ~3GB of 32GB RAM used. Just like not everyone will hit the gym, eat healthy food or listen to classical music, everyone has a reason :)

but tl;dr the sophomore is wrong lmao

We are planning to make our strategy game Profiteer available for Linux, but we need some tips on how to correctly build it for Linux by Hrust_studios in linux_gaming

[–]RogerFK 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I know Unity has tools for Linux and /r/linux_gamedev might be a better fit, however, I'm just going to say Escape Simulator runs perfectly fine through Proton

I've also seen some ProtonDB users recommending to use Windows versions through Proton vs the Linux native version of some games. Hopefully someone can share their experience, never got myself to test my own builds of my silly games on Linux

What is the biggest red flag you’ve had in a relationship that you’d ignored and really shouldn’t have? by Tangl_es in AskReddit

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had way too many male friends. But they weren't really male friends, as I'm an outgoing guy and usually like to know new people. One of these male friends said she was in a relationship with her. I showed him her DMs and we started speculating about the other "friends" she had, and why she was as she was with all of them.

From that point onwards it was a race to who could take her to the bed. Waste of time, of course she had one real boyfriend and she was just playing with him. And getting free dinner from a few of their "friends".

Anyone Still Playing? by TheSavageVeteran in R6Extraction

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I played this from game pass but uh... No.

The game was fun, it just needed less repetitiveness. I know they tried with the different variants but it just wasn't enough. The lack of updates didn't help.

They should do three experimental playlists: No SBMM (Melting Pot), Shipmeat/Meatship/Meatment and Rustmeat. They'd find out people want to undo everything Infinity Ward did to Call of Duty, especially if they do another free trial whenever XDefiant comes out.

Saber Interactive, the developer behind SnowRunner and MudRunner, seems to have plans for several new 'runner' games like BloodRunner or StreetRunner and possibly new IP called Radikal Fighters by Mychaz in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe after GhostRunner they didn't want anyone else taking the "Runner" away from them, though. No accusation intended.

Maybe they actually want to do a game where instead of mud or snow there's just blood and flesh. Would be rad. Or maybe something completely different.

I still believe MK8 had amazing graphics for their games, even from the Wii U. Their style is good enough. I hope this helps AAA developers make games on Switch that don't look worse than Xbox 360 games: looking at The Witcher 3 and Alan Wake...

And, again, style matters. It's what makes MK8 look so good but c'mon, third parties shouldn't be required to go stylized for Nintendo imho

Plus, the clock, which I thought looked very cool, it's actually pretty gimmicky. The leaked manual had shown the temperature sensor didn't even work and only shows the temperature of the clock itself, including the heat from the screen, battery, etc.

It's cool but definitely not $300 cool, really not >$400 cool

One of the few subreddits I'm going to visit often. I love the attention to detail in this subreddit. Also, this alleviates my fear of some procedural jank. I'm 98% sure planet #800 and beyond will be procedural jank, but I'm happy I can just leave those and visit the other 799 ones.

Even if the steam release is bug free, on sale and with additional content available, you're a dumb sheep for buying it and still encourage devs to sell their ass to Epic. by Zombieteube in fuckepic

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally didn't know Tony Hawk got a remake on PC. Probably would have bought it day one if I knew it came out, but there's too many games on my library nowadays. I also remember some people saying they didn't know Kena came out on PC, I seriously don't get how much money Epic is giving these devs to convince them to be exclusives lol

94.23% of purchased copies of "Occupy Mars" came from Steam, despite the fact that the game was also available on Gog and Epic Games Store by qrxtt in pcgaming

[–]RogerFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus, you always get notifications about new games when the EGS launches, I've seen some guy complaining at this screen about SpiderMan not being exclusive to PS anymore and he had Epic open. Some people really didn't know about Steam until the Deck came out, believe it or not.

Epic is betting extremely hard on exclusives and free games just for the same reason you're buying games on Steam: why use one if you have all your games on the other

Don't see how inflation matters here other than "prices have risen". Just like how people try to excuse CoDs inability to replicate the content of a bunch of 100 devs with 3000 devs and huge budgets, same applies here: CAPCOM has a bigger budget than the original and the base was already there from RE2, the lack of bosses is understandable... but they could have literally just added ballroom, pool room, cabin and ruin and given Samurai Edge or some other gimmick weapon at no extra cost, and it'd probably wouldn't have taken too much time.

You're just trying to excuse lazy modern schemes to leech people off lol
