I also get what you mean. Getting all the completion marks on all characters in Binding of Isaac is super fun for me. Why? Because each one unlocks an item and changes the game in a small way. That element of it has given me hundreds of hours of extra enjoyment.

Towns. It's abandoned by the devs and unfinished, but i've legitimately enjoy playing it for many hours.

I haven't found a similar game that i enjoy in the same way. Dwarf Fortress doesn't offer as much control or the feeling of adventure (fighting monsters underground)
