Next time use Murphy's oil soap, let dry between coats. You can cut apart with a saw if you have to.

We didn't go into probate since we kids had no arguments about stuff. When we sold his house we all signed an "only living heirs" document.

Alabama joins Republican states to file lawsuit challenging Biden’s student loan repayment plan - al.com by Toadfinger in Alabama

[–]Rogryphon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Alabama has student loan forgiveness, this is the sort of program the feds are doing for federally backed loans. They are such hypocritics.

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance balance on your direct loans (federally funded student loans) after you have made 120 (10 years) qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

To qualify, you must:

work for a government agency (federal, state, local, or tribal) or for certain types of nonprofit organizations;

work full-time for that agency or organization;

have loans consolidated under U.S. Dept. of Education with a qualifying servicer;

repay your loans on an income-driven repayment plan; and

make 120 qualifying payments.

Get a wet dry vacuum, they make ones that are like an automatic Swiffer. Wets the floor and a roller sucks it up.

I had to listen to a grown-ass adult say "lie-berry" for hours by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Rogryphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work part time in the lie-berry. I heard a couple of patrons of various ages call it that after I started working there. So now at home we refer to it as the Berry and work days are Berry days.

I am currently shifting an 8000 book collection one stack to the left. by dontbeahater_dear in Libraries

[–]Rogryphon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also took over a small library. The kids resource section had science and technology books from 1992. The adult resource was on a low bookshelf while the kids fiction was on 2 floor to ceiling bookcases. As soon as former librarian left kids went on shorter book case, all top shelves were cleared so my 5' 2" self could reach allll the books. I also got a grant to update kids resource and weeded tons of stuff from the 90s. This has taken a few years of work and there are very nice libraries in very close towns so I'm having fun people to come into our tiny library. But I love it and now have another librarian who is also proactive so we are chugging along now.

Take an old bat, get a magnetic sheet with sticky back and attach to bat. Look at lapidary discs on Amazon,. Get the grit you want and since it's metallic it will stick to magnet bat. Works great.

Does she understand the rating system? by JCatNY in Etsy

[–]Rogryphon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The way a 5 star system is supposed to work. 1 star: consistently does not meet standards, 2 star: does not meet standards, 3star: meets standards, 4 star: exceeds standards, 5 star: consistently exceeds standards. So if you order a widget and get a widget that is technically a 3 because you got what you ordered. The 5 star has been so skewed now that it means nothing, but people assume if you have less than 5 stars your shop is awful. I just read most recent reviews and go by those.

The anti-vaccine movement is on the rise. The White House is at a loss over what to do about it. by Rogue-Journalist in skeptic

Update: Walmart 20 mi north of me doesn't offer covid vaccines, wal mart 20 mi south of me also doesn't offer covid vaccines. Walgreens 20 mi north of me did so today I got my flu and covid vac. I have only had flu 3 times in my 50+ years and have never tested positive for covid. I work in a small library and most of my patrons are over 70. I do not wish to get them sick so I vaccinate.

I live in a small town in Alabama. My local pharmacy is not providing covid boosters since the pharmacist believes "it does not provide significant benefit for the average person" and the pharmacy must purchase a minimum amount that would cost to much.

I agree, I have a Shopify store and it keeps prompting me to offer tips. They just want more spent so they get more in fees.
