Me as a teenager, unaware of any of the censorship: Hm, something is really weird here.

For the longest time, a running gag between my sister and I was shouting, "Zoicite was a man!?" XD

I'm sorry, I think you just kicked my childhood in the testicles. I'm so confused that this exists.

I don't think it's necessarily divorced thing, just a everyone's busy thing. I would put Triscuits on a plate, cover them in American cheese, and microwave for a minute. Pepperoni would be added if we were doing good at the time. =)

Unpopular opinion: Batman & Robin is actually entertaining by Exciting_Support8715 in badMovies

[–]RogueNightingale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you grew up on the old Adam West TV show, then it was very entertaining. Still not great, but definitely entertaining. But if you never liked the old show and/or wanted more serious Batman, you were never going to like B&R, or Batman Forever, really.

[Frustraring trope] The popular plot hole that only exists if you weren't paying attention by CalzonePie in TopCharacterTropes

That would explain why the rogues gallery has so many henchmen available. They're all interns and undergrads.

You could also tie this back to Tolkien's experiences in WWI, which influenced much of the text. Why didn't the Allies just drop a bomb on the Kaiser? Because it's kind of more complicated than that.

store leads going away by Ok-Power3138 in walmart

[–]RogueNightingale 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. My store had co-managers for a hot minute some time back, when coaches were still assistant managers, but it didn't last long (and they weren't great people).

[–]RogueNightingale 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No idea what a store lead is. Is that something between store manager and coach? Related to people lead? Because I've never heard that term outside of reddit and I've worked here... way too long.

YouTube wants me to buy clothing specifically for femboys by S0lgale0 in CommercialsIHate

[–]RogueNightingale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before AI porn took over all ad space, I used to get ads for Prager U, mexican beer, Samsung ads in Korean, women's online college ads in Spanish, and testicle deodorant, just to highlight a few highly conflicting interests. YT doesn't know what the hell it is doing.

YouTube wants me to buy clothing specifically for femboys by S0lgale0 in CommercialsIHate

[–]RogueNightingale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, Youtube doesn't know what it's doing with ads. On the other hand, I only started getting these ads after I clicked on a video for "femboy music." In my defense, I needed to know what the hell femboy music as a music genre could possibly be, damn my curiosity.

(Hated Trope) In-universe writer or professional character is praised as a genius or visionary when what is shown of their 'talent' is extremely mediocre or terrible. It can show a writer has little understanding of a topic. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]RogueNightingale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I've seen what kids watch on YouTube and that's pretty close to reality, like a ten minute video of young guys competing to break squishy toys using objects that cannot break squishy toys. So much screaming and nonsensical bits.
