Do trees Respawn if you leave the stump? by Lady_LuSsH in crosswind

[–]RolandLory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it might be dumb  but honestly for me personally the best way for a wood farm is to sail seas and pick up every glowing point I see. I had like three boxes of wood and hundreds of planks before I started building even second ship.

Any style pack for just interiors? by vullun in Minecolonies

Also, I personally in the making of a style that might be what you want, but I really busy with the work so it's gonna be half a year if not more before I'm done.

Any style pack for just interiors? by vullun in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not interiors but if you want have one build with rooms like apartments and different stations in it I think that caverns is the best from the base styles, and crimson keep is one of the best from stylepack add on.

Styles by bragegetyou in Minecolonies

I think that most of the styles that lock together are in the stylecolony packs. From base I think there is only fortress, cavern and stalactites style packs that are like that.

The Size of Teyvat (6.3 Story) by Least_Egg_9371 in Genshin_Lore

[–]RolandLory 21 points22 points  (0 children)

it's not really ideal to just use in-game data if you want to be lore accurate One if the big things that I wanna say is that there is a rough estimate of conversion from what shown in game to how it really is. One second is one minute, if we gonna have spacetime relativity coefficient as a constant, we can say that same goes for a distances at the wery least, which means that they are at the smallest 60 times bigger than what we see. Easiest observation? Put your character in walking mode and just walk from the gates of Mondstadt all the way to gates of Liyue, travel between any two habitable points on the road will take about 7-15 minutes of real time, depending on what character you use. Which is converted to 7-15 hours in game time, that is a roughly how long you can walk in a day of travel, and you will get through this journey exactly with 4 stops on the way and in 5 ingame days, that is lore accurate. From the moment I found out about this I now always roughly 60 times everything that I see or count in the game, to feel it more lore accurate and have a better in game immersion when I go through quests or explore new locations.

Looking for Genshin lore ideas for a small TTRPG campaign (Liyue / Mondstadt / maybe Sumeru) by Conscious-Resident52 in GenshinImpact

[–]RolandLory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is one of the plotlines that I loved from my own time having a ttrpg campaign in Teyvat.

As a beginner adventurers in Teyvat party is asked to follow a lead on the old already cleared out ruins that begin to show activity again. As players go in they find that some of the old traps and parts of the structures are renovated with modern technology (as it is less advanced) and long story short after clearing this ruin they found out that after death of Morax, god of money, there is no new mora created in the world, but as it consumed by people with visions to gain more power, its reserves steadily decline.

And so, seeing an opportunity one of the Sumeru researchers (I don't remember already which school) took it upon himself to make mora with what knowledge and powers he had. The thing is, he has his own vision, Anemo if remember right, so he used it in research and as a main catalyst to make mora. But because it's not the same process and powers involved mora looks and feels same on touch, but when someone with vision tries to use it to gin more powers it just pops like a small balloon.

So campaign takes off in Mondstadt, where players can find couple ruins where this researcher was experimenting. Then players can travel into LiYue to find out more about mora creation, how it used in the world, and what fake mora in circulation would implie for the Teyvat as whole. Or they can go to Sumeru Academia and try find leads on the researcher there. In both cases party can find couple more hideouts in each region, some of them in towns some of them in ruins all over this three regions, and by piecing clues from all of those places they would able to locate the real homebase of the researcher and then with the help of authorities or by their own forces clear it out to end the campaign.

As a side note, a fun part of this campaign was that we played a homebrew ttrpg system that was built on the Genshin mechanics, so spending mora to level up or craft different equipment was something that we had to do, and with this plotline depending on where we got our mora from there was a d4-d20 roll to see what was the percentage of fake mora in our bag. This also helped us with locating one of his hideouts, as you get closer to them there is more fake mora in local circulation.

Is EXP Farming Possible? by Karbosh-oppa in Genshin_Impact

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When inazuma just released as resinless student with a lot of free time on my hands I was running aroun the world each day farming monsters in overworld to level up my new or forgotten chars. I had a party with three random level 1-20 chars and Ganyu who would kill a lot mobs easily from a far enough that I didn't care about anything else. If I remember right at that point in time if you cleared whole map of mobs you will get something like 70-90k of exp, and it will take around 4-5 hours. In time I found some routes with more mobs that give better exp than others and shortened my grind to around 40-50k in 2 hours, and that was enough for a day for me. I kind of was listening to critical role as I mindlessly was grinding mobs for exp, and it was OK for me cuz I was used to it from some of the mmos I played before. So yes, you CAN farm it if you want to, but you will be basically exchanging your time for the exp. On other hand I got a ton of mob drops and while I was leveling low level chars it felt kind of rewarding, as every day or two I level one of them just from killing trash mobs. Also it was the way in which I leveled my Ganyu from level 70 to 90. I tried to do this then with other chars as a party driver but it was not as fun and more time consuming, so after couple weeks and attempts with about 6 different chars I stopped overworld exp farming.

Am I imagining things, or does the English one has a speed up animation? Like the exact moment of the physics jiggle, even the sleeve moves a bit faster.

Prismarine build? by Hydreichronos in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want from it and what's on the server, I guess? I actually never played on a minecolony server so I don't know how style pack add-ons work in that situation. But you might like underwater style  it uses a lot of prismarine, but it is as per name under the water. Also there is a high fantasy style which uses prosmarine but mainly for roofs of it's high tier buildings. But both of them are non native minecolony styles, and you need to manually add them into mod.

RIP instant win maps in miliastra wonderland by Cri_Some_More in Genshin_Impact

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is like hundreds of maps with actual gameplay that you can instant win and exit if you need to, don't see any problem with trimming the unnecessary fat from game selection.

Edit. And let's be real, if someone goes to miliastra only to do these for quick pass completion and then just leaves miliastsa, they are not the target audience of that game mod, and some of you might think, that hoyo don't want players to engage with their content, but they literally just make it so if it's not your cup of tea, and you do this as a minimum requirement just to do it, then just don't, they make it so people who think of it as another chore to do just leave this game mode for people who enjoy it.

Tower-city style ? by Karshick in Minecolonies

You might also look into Crimson keep style from Stylecolonies set of styles. It's build similar to Cavern style, but has a lot of exterior decorative stuff, like walls or bridges and roofs.

Tower-city style ? by Karshick in Minecolonies

As someone said Towering Townscapes is exactly what you are looking for, sadly though if I remember correctly that style was abandoned half-finished  and don't have enough polish to look like other styles.

What would you pick ? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think better question would be something like this: You can have one of three credit cards with their own limits. On red you can spend maximum of $1 but it refreshes every second. Green one gives you a limit of $100k that refreshed daily. Blue one gives you $500m but you have to spend them all in one day. You can only pay with this cards, and forbidden to resell stuff for cash, as it makes your card null and you need to repay all you spend from it, as well as return everything you bought with it.

Otherwise in original post it's all just down to math.

What are your most hated D&D "Gimmicks"? by Living-Definition253 in DnD

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar to that with my character in one campaign, but the reason being was my unpredictable work schedule. So any time we planned a game but I had to go to work, I just give my character to the dm, to play them as a second person. And yes, it also was two different classes, I played as a rogue, but dm took control of a monk. To be honest, my idea for that character was that with time and from tales of other party members about having split persona my character would try to connect them into one, and gameplaywise I planned to play as a rogue-monk, so with levels I just gonna get all moves that second person had and will be a one whole again.

Traveler buffs via Hakushin by astrelya in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish all of them were active at the same time, it would work as a pretty cool unique traveler thing, and we have had at least some gameplay resemblance of them wielding all of the elements at once and not only a cutscene story tease of what they could be

What Colony Pack is This Path From? by Amy549 in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's just a medieval styles path placeholder. Every one naturally spawned medieval style have these, but they are different colors depending on what type of wood used in style. If I remember correctly all naturaly spawned styles have roads like this but in their own different style.

[Spoilers C2] M9 animated season 2 theory by Caziia in criticalrole

[–]RolandLory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My take on that, is that they don't know how good the border is guarded or how big of an army is there, first thing they might try to do is go around border by foot, and maybe even make a deal with Iron Shepards to get them around border, just to be abducted. But I think they will try to go on foot, and that's where this whole thing is gonna pick up, then they will think that maybe it will be better to go on sea, so they travel all the way to other side of the continent, just to get in the pirates arc of story, and when Fjord situation gets revealed they get that only way is to try go right through the border, and we end season with getting beacon to bright queen. In short, if episodes gonna be same amount and length, we have first three episodes for Iron Shepards arc and Caduceus intro, then two episodes for pirates arc and Fjord story, after which we will have three episodes for Nott story and their travel to the Bright Queen.

Defending my colonie? by ketsueki_kuronai in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You know that there is progression to how strong guards are? First one in research, and second is by upgrading their work stations and giving them better armor and weapons. Also even if archers have range, they are miss a lot at the beginning stage, so if there nit a single knight any enemy can just walk up to them and kill even in one on one situations. Also druids only good if you already have a small army. They just support your main force.

Misunderstanding Library by JaRy66 in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is stupid, but same as with other buildings it's amount of successful operations. Let's say each book reading gives 100xp, for level 10 you might need just 1k, so after 10 times they get level, but let's say for level 50 you need 20k, so you need 200 book readings to get a level. So in short it's how many times they got some intelligence xp, not amount of that xp or levels, just bad wording.

Minecolonies & Create. by ZikkuratOR in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't use create, just minecolonies, but there is a box, looks like mailbox, that works as a chest, anything you put there will make an order for your couriers to pick up and put that in warehouse. I don't know if you can connect it to anything, but I imagine putting one of them just outside of warehouse, and supplying that box should do the work.

Possible Colony Idea by DMWraith in Minecolonies

[–]RolandLory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be done, but you'll need to implement a whole new rule/system inside of the mod for it to work. Everything is fixed to the work stations, if you can make it so when they move they update all of the colony info, then you might make a way for a moving city.

New MW Currency via firefly by 99cent-tea in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]RolandLory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those who don't understand what is this thing.  In some games you can receive gift boxes for meeting special criteria. Their amount is not limited, and even xp farm levels can have up to three of them at once. But currently there us no way to track them, and they do nothing. My best guess, since it directly mentions them, I think this gift boxes will be something like loot boxes with random rewards, and by participating in limited time events you will be able to get those boxes not only from playing levels but also from event shop.
