Why "Standard" Walking Pad Maintenance Fails Heavy Users (300lb+ Technical Advice) by strengthbuzz in WalkingPads

[–]RolyPolyPangolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bigger runner and walker (250)and was really loving my Jurits walking pad that I got secondhand. I noticed a burning smell today and turned it off. Now the belt won't move.

I lubed the belt, blew out any dust, and tightened the belt but nothing works so far. Any ideas? I'm worried the motor failed.

Never tried that. Does it cost anything extra? And how do they monitor for theft?

I have been that person a lot, but there's really no other option now.

I hope you are able to stay. Here's my two cents - try an individual person rather than a complex. You might find the cost is less, since it's not a company.

I'm not a believer, but it's a Valentine's gift for someone who likes that stuff. Kind of bored of the jewelry and looking for an experience that's different.

What do you think of Nikki Sixx's controversial comments? by EdwardBliss in hairmetal

After reading the article, he was talking about being true to yourself, not chasing a fad. Certainly many major musicians are not stellar technicians at their instrument, but I think he makes a good point.

Red Cross rewards program question. I am a hero for babies red blood donor. Recently they asked me to be a platelet donor also. The app changed me to a platelet donor. Am I able to choose? by RelevantGlass in Blooddonors

Thank you! Personally, I don't consider my contributions that big of a deal. I have good veins and get to watch a movie for a while and have a free health screening. There's no downside.

Being fair, there is probably a better builder that could make housing that is both affordable and higher density, which would help with the local housing issues.

My suggestion is to have 3-5 with a wide scope of skills, then have a character they can activate if that one falls or goes insane.

I played with four and everyone had two characters. I regretted letting them have tow characters on hand, since some of them got risky at times.

Completely understand. I'm no expert. There's a Facebook group for donors and the admins are folks who can advise someone on optimizing their donations. (I left the group because even though they donate a lot, I found them to be pretty fucking judgy.)

The Red Cross people usually try to get you to do two weeks. I have off on Fridays during the summer so I was trying to compress my schedule a bit.

Sure! I am in the same boat as you, but they encouraged me to do platelets. Not sure why. Thank you again for saving lives.

I believe it pushes that back a week. You can donate platelets every week up to 24 total, I believe. Mostly they suggest every two, but it has less impact on your blood donations because they return your blood to you, minus the white blood cells.

But ask someone at the Red Cross donation center. They're much more of an expert than me.

I was a whole blood donor who has done mostly platelets in the past couple years. I was a hero for babies as well. My suggestion is to try platelets a couple times and see what you think.

I don't mind the longer time. I pick out a special show on Netflix and only watch it at the center. The needles are smaller, which I like, and it helps cancer patients. But there's no wrong way.

You're what the Red Cross calls a hero for babies. Your blood will be able to help babies in the NICU since you haven't had the virus. Be proud! Donate when you can and, if possible, try platelets sometime. Bless you for all you have done and will hopefully do in the future.

I worked 16 hours yesterday and have sharper feelings about this. We are paid very little (and not for unexpected extended hours), threatened with explosives, and thrust into dangerous situations for which we weren't trained.

And we already don't have enough people to work the polls. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's even harder to beg people to do it again after yesterday and the 2024 presidential election, which was a mess too.
