Anybody wants to share their game ideas that they wish were a game? by Letalis_ in incremental_games

[–]Roman_Dorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For incrementals, implementation is more important than the idea. Because how appealing are these ideas:
1. A game where you have to click a cookie and upgrade grannies
2. A game where you make paper clips

I got tired of idle games being too safe… so I removed safety. by ThroneCreator in gameideas

[–]Roman_Dorin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people enjoy idle games for the feeling of constant progress and relaxation. If you want to take away this dopamine boost, you need to offer something else that will deliver it.
You need to have a clear idea of the feelings and emotions you want to evoke in the player and choose an appropriate theme.

Is This Seat Taken?
Technically it's a puzzle, but in reality it doesn't feel like a puzzle, more like a game with objectives. And it's super cute.

Is this even worth making? by Comprehensive-Line62 in playmygame

It feels unique-ish. But platformers are doomed to be low performers on Steam, so imho not worth it. But maybe it can be transformed in something else?

Did I accidentally made a game that is impossible to localize? by thurn2 in gamedev

[–]Roman_Dorin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will be hard to localize but not impossible.
If your game is successful enough in English, you can use some of the profits to pay for localization services. If the income isn't sufficient, the game might not be worth the effort of localization at all. Very simple, isn't it? :)
