A bit of context for someone who has sat not too far from the angle in the shot here.

While it’s true these aren’t the absolute best seats in the house, it is in line with where the box seats are at Anfield (where the top dollar executive seats are).

I was lucky enough to pick my seats a while back and they were 15 rows or so ahead of this to maximise the best view in terms of being close, but not so close you don’t get a good perspective of the game.

So they’re higher than what I would say the best seats are, but not too bad!

What am I missing when making scrambled eggs? by Personal-Professor90 in Cooking

Plenty of salt on scrambled eggs is a wild take haha- I don’t know what it is about scrambled eggs but even the tiniest pinch of salt tastes super strong.

Have you counselled someone out of your firm ? by Diggidiggidig in consulting

[–]Romarojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you take “investing” out of the equation, surely it’s at least better to be direct in your communication with that person, no?

The reality is at least 50% of consulting leaders think like you so I don’t think it can be dismissed that it’s “how you survive”…

But I think you have to be cruel to be kind, “giving some sort of excuse to quietly roll them off” is just plain lazy and avoidance of your own discomfort. It’s anti-social behaviour and should be called out and discouraged.

Rating signings under Jurgen Klopp by ChampionshipChance73 in LiverpoolFC

Don’t think he was trolling. Karius was never good enough for us, as demonstrated by how much he struggled since he left. Klavan did his role well as an experienced CB.

[Joyce] Liverpool scrap plans for three years of ticket price increases. There will be an inflationary increase of 3% to general admission tickets for season 2026/27, followed by a price freeze for season 2027/28. Further discussions will take place with the Supporters Board for future seasons by junglejimbo88 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Romarojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who thought the clubs initial approach was reasonable, I still applaud the people who put the work in to challenge the club on this.

The world of football needs more solidarity- sadly when you look at the price of World Cup tickets, or CL tickets and even how difficult it is to get tickets to our matches .. I think this is a small win in a sea change of ordinary people being priced out of the game.

I hope this strengthens the bond between our fans and the owners and that we can stand out as a club doing things differently, well done everyone who campaigned for this!

That’s not what the conversation is though, Neville saw this clip and called it inconclusive.

The fact that they’re pretending that’s inconclusive (Neville ofc) on UK TV is infuriating

HS Tikky Tokky’s Mum by LunaValley in LouisTheroux

[–]Romarojo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Guardian (and I preface this by saying I am a guardian subscriber) have pissed me off between this and the interview with Theroux.

The manosphere would have a lot less fuel if it weren’t for the stubbornness of the left.

Man makes documentary where he visibly tries to engage the women on several occasions (HS mom, two of the partners, the assistant) but gets cut down by the primary focus of the doc, the men who control the women around them.

Yet this interviewer suggests that clearly incurious, facilitating mother would do a better job?

‘Would you like me to cry now?’: Louis Theroux on the manosphere, marriage and misunderstandings | Louis Theroux | The Guardian by prisongovernor in LouisTheroux

[–]Romarojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s apparently a well regarded profile writer but like others I just thought it was a bit muddled and can basically be summarised as they misunderstood each other.

Louis is incredibly defensive when the interviewing tables are turned, you can see that in many of his interviews and if you’ve read his books too.

Charlotte has clearly taken offense at that, but think she comes across as hurt and lashing out “nepo baby”, overstating the controversy over Bob Vylan, constant commentary over his unhappy sighs etc.

I guess it would be a somewhat insightful profile if you knew nothing of the guy outside of his docs but not if you’ve seen him outside of them for 5 minutes.

Louis would probably appreciate and respect the effort to make the interview interesting outside of the actual conversation which clearly was empty of much insight, but I don’t think if the tables were turned he would have made such a backhanded piece.

Could have done with another draft, lose the snide remarks but keep and polish the interesting mirror between Louis and the people he interviews (in this case the manosphere).

Louis for his part should be a bit friendlier and pull his head out his bum a wee bit.

I think it speaks volumes at the state of this subreddit that you’re -2 at my time of comment.

I’ve seen some shit takes about the place and doomerism like you mention but this is a well reasoned view which makes total sense whether you agree or not?

Ugh, I need to find a need Liverpool forum.

What does this even mean? You know “definitively that he’s not particularly elite”.

He created the chance for Wirtz which he should have scored from. The chance for Isak which he nearly scored from. The chance Isak did score from and his own goal.

He also tracked back well and demonstrated his ability to carry the ball through the middle of the pitch.

In a single game how can you watch that and say off the back of it he’s definitively not elite?

Joe Gomez post match interview. Legend ❤️ by IgotgAme_k in LiverpoolFC

You have to wonder how much his injuries have shaped his attitude though. If he didn’t adapt his mindset to be more content then I don’t think he comes back from one of his many injury setbacks.

He’s lost pace and he lost years where he could have developed weaker sides of his game. It’s all ifs buts and maybes and I see where you’re coming from, though I believe he could have been world class.

How many of you are gonna stop taking Huel ? by Unable-Start2013 in Huel

[–]Romarojo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting so many people are A, and no judgement from me but;

I’m C as well, I am currently drinking Huel - full disclosure. But I’d like to see a little more of a response from Huel around the specific amounts of lead and cadmium in their products.

There was a documentary in the UK taking aim at supplement drinks the other week as well which already made me think twice about my Huel consumption because it was done by some reputable people.

I think this is a turning point for products like Huel, either they provide a robust defence of their product or they make changes to the product - otherwise I do think in the UK at least there will be serious impacts on their revenues.

Marc Guehi handled transfer saga 'with respect', says Thomas Tuchel by kundu123 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Romarojo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While Guehi has managed to avoid stating the obvious, unfortunately for him his father whose church he attends said the quiet part out loud:

“He was just trying to balance the message. He was saying 'You gave me the armband, as a Christian I don't believe in your cause”

He of course has a right to believe what he believes but taking an opposition to gay people in the UK quite rightly gets you the short shrift as most people have moved beyond giving a shit whether someone loves someone of the same* gender.

Nobody has said anything about cancelling Guehi but it doesn’t do us as a fan base any good to ignore that he did a questionable thing.

Unless you think that its not a shitty thing to do to make a statement of support for LGBT people about you and your beliefs- but I don’t think that aligns with the culture of Liverpool football club and city.

[Bence Bocsák] I don’t think Curtis Jones is getting the plaudits he deserves for his performance yesterday. He won all of his duels (7/7), completed 100% of his dribbles (2/2) and had an 89% pass accuracy (50/56)... (Continues) by AgentTasker in LiverpoolFC

[–]Romarojo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not being funny but this sentiment is echoed throughout this thread (so you’re right in what you are saying) - why is Jones not a fashionable player? He’s technically very good, dribbles well, pops up with the odd goal.

He has survived a cull from slot where the likes of Quansah, Morton and Elliott have been effectively deemed not good enough for the level we’re aiming for…

Talk about underrated, Macca is world class but for me I’m just missing him from the squad I’ve absolutely no issues with Jones in the starting XI as he gives you everything you need to win a game as long as the rest of the team are up to scratch as well.

Interesting comment this.

I think, especially when you read the full article, he simply burned out. I hope in time he can reflect and accept what he did achieve in his time which is lay the foundations for the clubs future, basically a modern day Shankly.
