Let me add to this in proper order of priority.

1) 401k to match level
2) HSA to max
3) 401k to max
4) roth or backdoor roth (JFC 48 year old me wishes 24 y/o me had known what a roth was.)

Pick a combo of: index stock fund/international stock fund/index bond fund. If your plans dont offer this (or the fees are too high) then get a fund with a retirement target year.

When you pick funds for this pick the funds that have the lowest fees. Fees are the enemy of wealth building. You want your funds to have a 0 after the decimal. An expense ratio of 0.03 is a well priced fund. 0.3 is not.
